There are always whipping boys. In any era.
"Damnit Stokes!" was a refrain often heard in my home during the early '90s.

Re: Sean Miller
In the past eight years, Sean Miller has been to the Sweet Sixteen SIX times.
6/8. That's on pace to be some Izzo level shit right there.
Just needs the Final Four/Natty. It's coming.

Is anyone else seriously involved besides Arizona and Kansas?
I can't imagine that Kansas helped their position by shitting themselves in the first weekend of the tourney again.

Oh, I get that you don't give two shits about the specifics of his situation. It's all about how you see it from your narrow, limited perspective. I get that, believe me.

Re: TJ McConnell's 'MAGIC' Numbers
You realize dude's from Chester, PA right? Every year he stays in college is another year his family has to do without. Every game he plays before he goes pro is just another chance to have a career ending injury and POOF... there goes the $$$. Brandon Ashley last year had to hit close to home for h...

Re: Wisconsin and the West
We struggle against zones with size/length. UCLA actually has a better average height and effective height than Arizona. Baylor has neither. They are very, very mediocre in both, actually. Scott Drew also shouldn't strike any fear into anyone for obvious reasons. There is nothing until the Elite 8 t...

my friend's take: bo ryan seems to have a subversive disdain for the more free-flowing aesthetics of basketball that make a conservative team oddly fascinating in the same way that even the most buttoned-up perry como xmas song is hard to turn off when it comes on the radio. it's like watching orde...

Someone tell me the last time a team was a #1 seed that didn't win either conference regular season or tournament title, and I'll believe that it can happen. If you can't win your conference, how can you be one of the four best teams in the country? Seriously? Have you seen their schedule compared ...

Re: Official Bracketology Thread
Well I guess 2009 when the Big East had three it proves it has happened. But that year there weren't really any other teams that had comparable résumés to those three teams (Pitt, UConn, Louisville). This season, there are several other teams from other conferences that are worthy.

So, let me get this straight: The WCC regular season and tourney champs get to stay in the West, but the Pac-12 regular season and tourney champs get shipped out? When the Pac-12 regular season and tourney champs beat the WCC regular season and tourney champs head to head? LMFAO. That's not happening.

Re: POY, COY, etc.
Coaches don't like other coaches who beat them, whether it be on the recruiting trail or on the court. It's no shock that Miller didn't win COY...as I can think of maybe 1 or 2 coaches who would even vote for him. I know Romar and Miller like each other, and I get the feeling that there is a mutual...

And not to say there wasn't anyone else deserving other than TJ. Delon Wright is fantastic and I was fully prepared for him to win POY over TJ, which would have sucked but been totally reasonable IMO. Joseph Young is a chucker who performed his worst against the best teams in the conference. How he ...

Re: POY, COY, etc.
I'm sure Sean Miller doesn't give a shit about COY, so I don't really either. But denying TJ POY keeps him out of the Ring of Honor, and that pisses me off.
Only hope for him now is the Cousy (which I think would make him eligible for jersey retirement), but I don't think he wins it unfortunately.

I am sure I will get called names but Nastic did outsmart the Zoo yesterday when he fouled out. No, he didn't. If you actually watch the game the "sit down" comes right after Tarc released the ball.
