Re: How many newcomers contribute?
I think we see more bench contributions early in the season. As always, that roster will be pared down as the postseason arrives. I think PJC, York, Pitts, Allen and Victor all get some quality run and developmental time. I have no idea what to expect from Ristic. I don't expect Korchek to ever play...

There's simply no way we're as good defensively without Gordon. RHJ is a great defender in his own right but he can't make the same impact Gordon did. I don't think any AZ player will for a long time.

Is it wrong to think this is entirely a PR move? Sarver knows he has no chance, but it helps quell the rumors about him being cheap long enough to camouflage the fact that they actually don't really wind up improving via free agency. He remains in no actual danger of having to spend money. Yep. Den...

Four first round talents and a 5th year senior coach's son bulldog pass first PG... Don't care if it's the best in the country, that combo plus Miller's touch is enough for a title run.

The longer this poll grows... the higher the standard each new contestant faces. Is she hot? Sure. In comparison to some who have come before her? Not enough to get my vote. Plus, I don't like her hips. And like Longhorned says, she looks a lot like her dad. It's weird.

My ESPN FC bracket had Brazil, Germany, Argentina and Spain in the semis, with Argentina beating the Germans in the final. Now I think Germany takes it. They look like the best team with the way they work together and their keeper is so hard to score on. The Dutch looked great in the group stage but...

It's not a question of individual v. team play. In a World Cup soccer match, a team can play with only 10 players for much of the match, and how much of a difference does it make? A 4-on-5 basketball game would create an unfathomable mismatch. The size of the players in relation to the area of play...

Zelalem and Green are athletic enough and I expect their technical skill to be world class in four years.
