Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble?
The comments section on bruinsnation is awesome. They all take turns trying to outdo each other with how little they watch the UCLA games ("I only read about the game, but..." "I was flipping channels and accidentally came across the game, and...", "I totally don't care at all about UCLA basketball ...

The irony of 76ers fan refusing to believe that not all players work as hard as everyone else is pretty awesome

Re: UA Basketball 2015-2016 Discussion Thread
Good Pascoe interview with Miller in today's Star. Can't seem to log back in to grab link. Anyway, he has high praise for Ryan Anderson for hard work (reshaped his body) and leadership. Says he's not had a guy as willing to reach out to newcomers and lead while at Arizona. He is well liked by teamm...

Re: Gonzaga...
They ARE going to be good next season, but that's an odd comment to make right before linking that article since "Williams will have to sit out the 2015-16 season due to NCAA transfer rules but will have two seasons of eligibility remaining with Gonzaga"

Re: NCAA looks at transfer rule
Anything that rewards a kid for actually getting his degree is a good thing. I'd love someone to pass a rule that simply states that players and coaches are bound by the exact same restrictions when switching schools, then see where everything ended up when the dust settled. Hell, if paying athlete...

Yeah shooting 56% and 30 FT attempts just screams poor offense.ASUCatFan wrote:Sean Miller needs to tweak his offensive philosophy. He is one of the best coaches in the country, but that is his Achilles heel.

Re: Kentucky and Cal
The point is to get the whole NBA thing over with and out of the way before the season even starts. I get that that's the argument, but I don't see that working whatsoever. Let's say you're competing with another guy at your position, and he outplays you today. Are you really going to go "well, tim...

So Smart: https://twitter.com/EvanDaniels/status/520559875449839617 I must be the only person on the planet who thinks this is a shitty idea. From Arizona's media day interviews, I think Miller and every single player emphasized "chemistry" and how you have to work at it and it takes time. Yet what...

I don't know that I'd put too much stock into a single word from a Myron Metcalf post.

Re: let's talk '15
Given how often it happens that a kid commits either on or right after a visit, if you cared about your accuracy and there was no penalty for changing your picks you'd be stupid NOT to change them every time a kid went on a visit. How often does it happen that a kid goes and visits a school then imm...

Re: Pac-12 PotY for 14-15?
I'd be surprised if we had the winner. Not because I don't think we have the best players in the conference, but because it will be hard to shine with a stacked lineup. We should have all 5 first team slots and not the POY. I think stat-wise you're totally right, I wouldn't be surprised if our top ...

Re: Pac-12 PotY for 14-15?
Wright's a pretty good defender as well. I almost see him as Utah's version of Nick for us last year. He's not a lethal scorer but he does almost everything when he's on the floor.
But I'd still be shocked if it doesn't end up being an AZ player. My best guess would be Ashley.

Utah plays KU in Kansas City. Intriguing. If SDSU can get them at Lawrence ... Except Utah's biggest issue last year was winning road games against even the crappiest teams. I've been patting myself on the back for a year now for saying I thought they were going to be surprisingly good last year, b...

Makes sense. Saw it used on the other site, but it seemed like there could be several potential meanings there.
