Getting to nitty gritty. UCLA has owned us for three years. That includes the year before Jack arrived on the scene. UCLA has better athletes and more of them. Offensive guru RR has totally been stymied. Does anyone really believe we can win? I do but I'm going with heart and hope rather than brain.

It is hard to tell. I agree he was targeted. I've always thought Mora is a dirty coach. Nevertheless, if he caught the ball, he may have had time to react to the targeter before being hit.

Looking at the vine, it appears to me the biggest problem occurs because Austin didn't catch the ball. He was defenseless when he reached for it.

As I remember, many of our receivers were dropping balls and then getting hit. The best remedy is to catch the damn ball.

I see nothing from UA so far that gives e much hope we can pressure Rosen.

UCLA ran a set with a couple of big DL in backfield and Jack running the ball. That formation will squash us unless we improve a lot over next couple of weeks.

I didn't listen to the end but I noticed Mora didn't discuss the extra coaching on how to grab and hold receivers in a manner the incompetent PAC12 refs do not catch. Also, no discussion about the coaching about driving the receivers into the ground without being flagged by the same incompetent refs.
