Rich Rod is untouchable because of the me too movement. Sumlin's track record of recruiting at A&M speaks for itself, if it doesn't improve, he gone.

Rich Rod is clearly the better coach but recruited like crap. Sumlin will be a much better recruiter, but until he has a couple recruiting classes in I think its going to be painful. We made our bed, hopefully in a few years we'll want to sleep in it...

NYCat there is some serious delusion in our fan-base. Outside of Kerr and Walton who both will never come back to Arizona and coach the college game.

There is not a UofA BB alum that I would even consider as HC material at this stage.

The University was benefitting from his playing without paying him a scholarship. He may have just weighed another year of paying his own way against trying to get paid something. If you can get past the ASU thing, I really like the upside potential of Norvell, especially with Tate at QB.

If we're just playing the game of hoping we hire a good head coach we've probably already lost because we can't offer what great coaches want (huge money and/or former prestige and/or super fertile recruiting grounds).

As long a Tate is here Rich Rod should be here too. He recruited him, he believed in him at QB when no one else did, he coached him up and Tate turned another 3-9 season (maybe worse) into 7-5 so far. There's no other coach we could hire that could coach Tate as well as Rich Rod. With the good comes ...
