Re: let's talk '15
So Kentucky signs a guy who will probably never play, and one who Arizona stopped recruiting because they got better players at his position, and now they have the #1 class according to ESPN? seriously who fucking cares what our recruiting class is ranked? Let's worry about getting the players we n...

Re: Game 1 Impressions Thread
Great OP. My thoughts... The McC/Craft comparison is fair. I see TJ as being more assertive on offense and more expressive though, which is a huge benefit for us as a team. I don't see us having the PAC 12 player of the year this year. Stan/Rondae/BAsh/Zeus... each will be the team's best player at ...

Re: 40 Minute Bird Scores - Mount St. Mary's
This is going to be an interesting transition for Stan. I'd like to chart his Bird scores over the year. I think they do something like this...

Re: #2
Arizona as the only top 25 team = not good. Every loss will hurt more with our conference SOS being down (and they might get better but you always start from this ranking). Run the table?

Re: Sean Miller
Miller's approach won't work in the NBA. He is an NCAA lifer. I see Kentucky, UNC and Duke as the only threats, and I still give Arizona the edge due to the simple fact that he has established himself so deeply in Tucson. If he makes it to 2020 as our coach, I think he's in it for the long haul. The...

Considering the only thing they'll need for a F4 is hoops, booze and food they should be all set.scumdevils86 wrote:Because ya know...no one does society, art, sports, culture and dining quite like the west valley of the Phoenix metro area.

Re: 15-16 recruiting class
Considering all three of Trier, Simon and Smith should be in Tucson for at least two years, I'm really hopeful Rabb decides to come. Having all thsoe returners makes losing a a one and done much easier to absorb. Even at one year he instantly makes us a title contender with the talent that surrounds...

Re: All players must stay 4 years, what's the rotation?
A guy like Stanley doesn't commit to a program to be the 2nd or 3rd guy off the bench. A great argument for the strength of college basketball in general if they institute the 2 year plan. The top talent will spread around to more programs, making a number of teams more competitive. You could have ...

Re: Greg Hansen
The sky was definitely falling back in those days. We ended up being very fortunate to land Miller given the circumstances. That one could have just as easily gone sour and we could be on coach #3 since Lute left trying to figure it all out. A testament to Arizona basketball I suppose.

Re: Stanley Johnson
Exactly. In a different way, but still just as excited if not more so due to the fact that he should have a bigger impact on offense. He is definitely going to be a fun one to watch.Olsondogg wrote:I am as excited, probably actually more, to see Stanley in a Cat uniform as I was with AG.
