UW Coach Jimmy Lake Comments On Arizona
From the weekly press conference, here are the comments by first year head coach Jimmy Lake... On what Arizona does well: “Their quarterback can throw it. They have a spread attack, a ton of tempo. It’s the same scheme we faced last year with their offense, but now with a quarterback that is very ac...

6 pm Saturday on FoX. For us, basically copy/paste from the USC for the depth chart, although WRs Brian Casteel and Drew Dixon are apparently back in the good graces. That's a great question. If he redshirted and didn't play this season, I'd think so under the more relaxed transfer rules. 6-4 295 out of Scottsdale. Too bad he wasted his time in Waco. But, maybe he got to meet Chip and Joanna Gaines.

Great to get the A Team and all that, and it was a well-produced game. But, I wish there was a little more effort by broadcasters, especially in a team's first game of the season, like ours, to wait-and-see. That's especially true when you've got a pretty special QB and an entirely new defensive sta...

Well, we covered 10 of a 14 point spread against USC, so if we did that again, we'd be right there. But, life on the road and all that. The forecast calls for a momentary break in their semi-permanent rain with game-time temps in the 40s. I do think this team is hungry to show they can win; we'll see.

Makeup Game
UCLA beat Cal 34-10 today in the hastily thrown-together makeup of their respective cancelled games against Utah and ASU. A bit tougher assignment for Cal. Not surprisingly, the depth chart for USC is identical to the one for Utah. It's been a typical M.O. for Sumlin to release an initial one, and then only change it with basically season-ending injuries. One change is that Jamarye Joiner, who was suspended for the Utah game, is back in good graces. Un...

It's a commonly used funding mechanism, which I support in this case. Nobody said anything about cutting entire athletic departments, and as I said, I'm fairly sure ASU has more fat in their athletic department marketing department, with no announced cuts yet.

This may seem like the last thing on anybody's radar right now, and ordinarily I'd completely agree. USC's very talented, and they got a game under their belt. For us, we can analyze them, while they're stuck with last year's video of our team.
