LOI signing day is Feb 3rd - next Wednesday. Things sure are quiet. I think we still have available scholies.

Re: 18 Ma'jon Wright
That's the problem with low level recruits from far off places (like Ft Lauderdale). If they are no good, you are stuck with them. If they turn out to be talented they are then actively recruited by local schools. What do you think the odds are of him ending up at Miami, FSU, or Florida? Or somewher...

Re: Stab At A Two-Deep
I notice you don't list WR Majon Wright on your 2 deep. I'm guessing that he leads the team in receptions next year. WR has all of a sudden become quite deep. Lots of options, but no great player that requires double teaming. I think Wright has more upside than anyone though.

I like this hire. Being part of the Alabama program will give him instant credibility amongst the players. If he was the assistant strength coach at New Mexico State it wouldn't carry the same pull.

I wonder if Sumlin was waiting until after the hire of the D-Coordinator, so that that person (Rhoads) would be part of that search process. I would imagine that Sumlin has conducted more than a few interviews. Another thing i wonder about is LB coach. UA just named ex UA LB Hobson as LB coach a cou...

I'm not sure I'm sold on Scalley, Utah's a defensive powerhouse cause of Whit, not the DCs (which they have rotated through the last few years). Just my thoughts from being familiar with Utah's program. I agree. UA must be careful. We all thought that Stoops was a great D-coordinator, and would cer...

Gunnell, at 6'5", can actually see over the offensive line. It seems that in limited time he has dunked more passes across the middle than Tate has in the past two years. We should see TE's catching more passes now with Gunnell getting more playing time.

Freshmen can play up to 4 games without burning their redshirt. I think Joyner in nearing that limit. I think we see Doyle a couple of times before the season ends.

We only have 11 commits right now. I believe that the max per year is 25. Of course one must consider any greyshirts from last year, transfers, and walkons who are given scholarships. Anybody have a guess as to how many more high school and JC players UA can add to their current list of 11 commits?

Re: 93 Days Coach Marcel Yates
Wait until next week. Yates will revert back to the 3 man D-line until it's proven it doesn't work. I have no problem with a 3 man DL if you are playing a 3-4 defense. You have 4 LB's close to the line of scrimmage to help defend against the run or to pass rush. It seems like we are often playing in...

Sumlin is supposed to do an at home visit today with OL Jarret Bell. Cristobal and Kelly also visiting him today. Big disadvantage for Sumlin. Bell i am sure has met the O-line coaches at every school in play. Sumlin might not even be able to tell Bell who the next O-line coach is at UA. Oh well.

I would expect TE Wolma to leave. Rhett's closest friend. Would expect him to go back to the midwest. He's gonna be a good one. You would think these guys would wait just a few days to see who the next coach is.

I just got word that Arizona is not honoring Armani Adams’ commitment. Sour grapes from his camp. They are trashing Rich Rod in Florida. This tends to happen but I’ve noticed RR has been more adept at this of late. Might be some shuffling for oncoming or silent commits plus rethinking on some playe...
