Re: The 2022-2023 Season Thread
Massive news. I love this. My expectation is that Boswell plays very little this season and treats this like an understudy year where he practices against Kerr and Ramey, learns Lloyd's terminology and attitude and expectations, and then comes into next season as a starter and just blows the doors ...

Re: The 2022-2023 Season Thread
Our five elite eight teams over the past 20 years have had an average of 4 future NBA players on them - from a low of 2 in 2011 to a high of 6 in 2003. Yup. That's the biggest concern with losing Mathurin and maybe Koloko. It isn't that there aren't players to replace then, it's that the replacemen...

Canned enchilada sauce? How very disappointing. House is a little underwhelming for that price. Along with I really hate TVs over fireplaces. In truth, Lute had a much nicer house with great views. The indoor-outdoor space is awesome. The 19th century French like decor of the interior, not so much.

I'd look at what went wrong (not enough defensive intensity, not enough scoring, not enough guys who could run the offense) and look at the three guards that Lloyd has pulled in and see if that isn't the exact answer to those problems. I think Koloko can go 12 to 20ish. I've regularly seen it written that after the elite guys are gone GMs tend to look for elite skills to fill out roles on the roster. Koloko's defensive skills are A+++. Specifically his defensive skills away from the basket are going to be too much for some GM to p...

We got beat soundly. Fair and square. Congrats to the Cougars. Shit happens.
Sad the season is over but feel grateful that my winters and springs for the next decade or two (or three) are going to be WAY more entertaining then I ever could have hoped for one year ago.

IMO the transitive property of common opponents is silly and way over utilized. So is the transitive property of last opponents. Each game is different and IMO hard and fast extrapolations off of either of those rarely lead to accurate prognostications.
