The Ashley/Tarc/Grant/York class was ranked #1 for quite some time until the spring when Shabazz went with UCLA and KY moved up a spot. Didn't AZ end up at 3? Regardless, that AZ class continues to pay dividends.

Rabb is going to wind up at a major program that can compete for titles. Cal has no shot. At this point, isn't basically AZ, UK, and UNC in the real running?

It is better for AZ to play a quality opponent (at least in name) for its resume.

Good for Nick. For an undersized shooting guard with an inconsistent jump shot, at least he gets his opportunity. Most likely ends up in the D League and later in Europe, but at least it is another drafted Wildcat on the books.

These rankings are odd to say the least. It is not clear what the criteria is. ESPN's love affair with Shaka is comical; yes he lead a mid-major to a final four, but it isn't like the guy is running a major program in a major conference who needs to recruit 5-star talent every year to stay relevant....

This seemed to be going down for months, so it is best to get this out of the way and move forward. Dorsey's star is certainly not on the rise and there is no need to deal with all drama 1.5 years before the kid even enrolls in school. Good riddance.

Ollie won a title with remnants of the Calhoun era, but it is hard to put him up there with the elite coaches in the game right now. No one really knows if he will ultimately rebuild UConn into a power-house. I certainly wouldn't put him ahead of Larry Brown.
