I saw the new track and field stadium at Oregon. As an architect, it’s so exciting to see spectacular and progressive design being deployed in service to these “secondary” sports. As a fan of any other Pac-12 school, it’s depressing as fuck. There is no way to compete with the Nike fueled athletic department at Oregon. The new stadium is literally world class. I don’t know if there is another facility in the world better than it. Bigger, sure. But probably not better.
