Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Re: Men's Tennis
I played tennis in high school. Did manage to play #1 over half my senior year, but on a really crappy team at Apollo HS up in Glendale.
My freshman year at UofA my mom asked me if I was going to try out for the tennis team.
I'm like, Mom, we play in the PAC-10. Maybe you heard of a guy that played for Stanford a few years ago, John McEnroe?

Always happy to see the sports that get less attention breaking records.
It's long past time to bring this back to the court, let's do it with a small update:

For anyone who has followed PAC-10/PAC-12 tennis over the years, this is just insane.
Well done team!

So, are the Cats ranked? Or dont we get any respect for beating the other ranked teams and going undefeated in the PAC?

Hear, hear!
When you think that Jimmy Connors played at UCLA and John McEnroe at Stanford and the history and clout of the California schools, it is an amazing achievement. I just hope we can hang on to Clancy Shields for a while.

Re: Men's Tennis
By winning at ASU, Arizona Men's Tennis won a share of the conference title, along with Utah and USC. Wonderful accomplishment.
But the official Pac-12 conference Twitter account only mentioned USC getting it's share and played it casually as just another one of many they've won through the years, in effect ignoring Arizona and Utah. Clancy Shields should raise hell about this and demand an apology and equal treatment for Arizona and Utah. Other than a personal mea culpa from whoever, there should be a formal re-tweet that says "we fucked up", and then a tweet simultaneously celebrating the accompishment of all three teams. It won't happen, but that's what should happen. I'm disappointed that the Pac-12 doesn't weed out USC and UCLA loyalists embedded in their organization. If you can't play it straight, you're gone. There's no longer any reason to pump up USC and UCLA. As a matter of fact, from a national competitive perspective, they should probably get the short end of the stick for the remainder of their tenure. Poorly played.

Re: Men's Tennis
So presumably they did one for Utah, too, but who knows. Still bullshit. If it's a 3 way co-championship, put it out as such, once, rather than somebody's idea of separate "appropriately" phrased pats on the head. Every loser employed by the Pac-12 should find a real job.
