Re: Burritos? Burritos!
I can't really take any list seriously that doesn't have Gordos Burritos - San Francisco on their list.
Farolito's burrito is ok, there are far better options on the menu, La Taqueria jumped the shark after one of the cooking shows visited (man vs food?) with the classic smaller portions, higher prices, longer lines, more douchy people. They are the home of the mission or wet burrito (enchilada sauce over the burrito), but when I last visited in Dec, the lady making my burrito didn't know what it was, asked the owner and then informed me that they no longer serve it. For shame.

That list is so slanted towards media markets it isn't funny. I have never been to the Boston place, but I refuse to believe Boston can outdo the best Tucson has to offer.

Re: Burritos? Burritos!
The top-20 is a Yelp-generated list, so it's slanted toward media markets by nature. Nate Silver will compensate for that bias by algorithms, though.Spaceman Spiff wrote:That list is so slanted towards media markets it isn't funny. Not a single place worth a damn here on the East Coast (Baltimore/WashDC) and it makes me sad. Airport burritos in TIA are better than the stuff i have to stomach living out here.

One place in Raleigh Durham for a decent burrito: Chubbys. Founded and run by a family from San Diego, so I trust them. Its legit, not perfect, but suitable.

So you are telling me to get a somewhat real burrito, i have to drive into the heart of Duke/UNC land, wearing my full AZ garb.CalStateTempe wrote:One place in Raleigh Durham for a decent burrito: Chubbys. Seems legit. I have been looking for an excuse to travel down there anyways.
