I love Phở Cần Thơ Vietnamese on Campbell and Glenn. Small menu and the five times I've had it, it's been spectacular. I also love the place itself.

Damn. I lived either at Fort Lowell or Prince and Campbell for 15 years and never went there.

Has it been there that long?

Eating at Locale is a miniature vacation in itself.

I haven't been to Tumerico either sadly but La Chaiteria was phenomenal.

I can't wait till I can reliably leave the house again. We made it to Seis Kitchen last weekend for a quick lunch with the kid. That was stressful but went well.

So I am so excited to be heading back to Tucson on Thursday. I am trying to narrow down my list from your guy's recommendations as we probably will only be able to hit 3 dinner spots (4 if we blow off the Cal game...nah):

- Seis Kitchen at the Mercado
- Wild Garlic Grille
- Mi Nidito
- Charro Steak
- Fiamme

I'd do Tito and Pep, Charro Steak and Wild Garlic for dinner.

I approve of the Final Three. If I were visiting, the only "must" would be Mi Nidito, and then otherwise it's hard to go wrong with the other two.

For Italian Food, Vivace is probably better but is is much cheaper and an awesome outdoor patio at Locale (food is really great too)

I’d be OK with scratching Vivace, but I had their manicotti last week. It was just amazing.

I keep it to myself that I'd eat Sonoran food at least 3-4 times a week if it were up to me, and I think my family is suspicious of that truth.

You guys are awesome - I'm now thinking about trying to slip in both Dinner and Lunch locales now (e.g. Seis Kitchen opens early) so I can try out a few more.

I used to excuse it by saying, "But in Mexico they eat Mexican food every night" until I went to Mexico city and realized that they have specifically "Mexican restaurants" there, too. It's a sometimes treat. Too many other things to eat when they're out. But usually they stay home and eat spaghetti.

I've had those.

I just tried Pizza Luna on Speedway and Wilmot. It's really good. If you love Falora, which is perfect, there's no point unless you want to save a few bucks, or if you have a kid who demands pepperoni pizza. I fit both categories. It's a 72-hour fermented dough and it's beautifully crusty. Really good.

Also, nothing will ever replace NYPD on Tanque Verde, which is an ideal pizza for me. Real Arizona-style New York pizza and true comfort.

My son and his fiance are having a very casual wedding and might be having NYPD cater their wedding. (As I have posted previously Mark Fontana the owner is his old O-Line coach from Cienega)

The Zacatecas Burrito at Taqueria El Pueblito at Campbell and Ft. Lowell is one of the most amazing things I have ever tasted.

I lived like 3 blocks from the Taqueria el Pueblito for 15 years and it was always my go to breakfast burrito place.

No but I've heard great things. It's hard to go wrong at that location. The only bad thing is they close so early. A place like that has no business not being open at 3 am.

Homemade, made to order corn tortillas. CNt be beat. It’s on the west side of 6th and 36th.

I'm thinking the best dining patios are LaCo, Mercado San Agustin, El Charro, and Cornet. When you eat in places like that, it's easy to scoff at the patio of Calle Tepa, which abuts the parking lot of a strip mall. But then you go there, and it's sunny and 75 degrees in Tucson, and you're eating a big plate of enchiladas covered in red sauce and cheese with rice and refried beans ("Careful! The plate is hot!") and drinking a Negra Modelo while looking at Rincon Mountain, and there just aren't many people in the world who wouldn't want to trade places with you right at that moment.

Went to El Chinito Gordo last night. The food was good as ever, but we tried the esquites for the first time. Really, really fantastic.

I'm dying to go back there again for that birria chimichanga enchilada style

That was my entree. Very good as always. Their individual tacos are all very good as well and it's cool you order singles only.

If you go about 30 mins before sunset you can drive the Saguaro National East loop for free. Just down the street from Corners

If you go about 30 mins before sunset you can drive the Saguaro National East loop for free. Just down the street from Corners

That's in poor taste. Everyone should have a park pass, a Winnebago, and a hat with fishing hooks on it. No waiting for a free drive at sunset.

Do you agree that Mi Nidito makes the best red chile sauce in the entire world?

What's in it that gives it that flavor? My theory is puréed roasted green chilies. Is this plausible? It might also explain the brighter color.
