I don't know what the Feds actually did with my data but I annually averaged 8 months of 85 hour 6-day weeks getting it. If that simulated sucking the government tit why are my lips OK and the rest of me took a pounding?

Tis a shame that 12+ years of history was erased with the nuking of the free boards on GoAzCats. It does feel crazy that we're over 7 years into this board. I'm eternally grateful to UADevil.

Unfortunately my new job is actual work. There’s no simulation that will create a 150 slide media menu deck the client needs in order to determine how $1.5million is to be spent, and there’s definitely no amount of pretending to be busy that will actually put those dollars in the market and make the advertising happen.

Media sales (my former job) was a whole lot less work for a whole lot more money, but the atmosphere was toxic and unsustainable. I’d rather really work until midnight than to promise someone something I never had any intention or opportunity to fulfill.

I had the opposite experience last year when selling my house. The appraisal came back $20k less than the price the buyer agreed on but the buyer wouldn't pay more than the appraisal price. I still ended up selling the house which I regret now considering how crazy high house prices are now.

Was it all cash? Of course, the lender won't finance a house that doesn't appraise at the price.

That happened to one of my Tucson brothers. The appraisal came in less than the offer, but the seller reduced the price, which no doubt the seller regrets now.

That's what happened to me last year. Our house is perfect for us and we beat out 8 other bids. The appraisal came in $36k less than the sales price. The sellers were older people downsizing and had their new house lined up to close on a tight time schedule so they just reduced the sales price $36k to meet the appraisal. No way that'd happen now. We got insanely lucky.

In what way is he acting a total dork? I think he's just trying to be entertaining while hiding the fact that they are 'syncing' with a pre-recorded track.
Thought Mr Soul was the better song here.
Absolutely.

Also the bass player has got his back to the camera because he isn't a bass player. He's a stand-in (OK, sit-in) for Bruce Palmer who had just been busted and was cooling his heels in the slammer. Nobody knows for sure who it was but the best guess is one of the roadies.

Great CSN song, although the Jefferson Airplane version is better known since it was released first due to contracts.
"Wooden Ships" was written by David Crosby, Paul Kantner, and Stephen Stills, so the Airplane had as much right to it as CSN.

I can see the three of them coming to an agreement between themselves who had first dibs, but what would have a contract have to do with it - maybe that JA had a contract with a record due a couple of months earlier than CSN? Yeah, OK, maybe.

There was a problem with Katner being credited as a writer due to a contract dispute with his manager, but that didn't affect the records release - specifically because Katner himself said 'don't credit me' or your record might get boned. Crosby and Stills made it up to him afterwards.

The CSN version was recorded on 20 February 1969; the JA version on April 14 and 22, 1969. Both were released in 1969.

No it wasn't cash. I wish I would have kept the house. The value went up 100k in the past year. Oh well. At least we got our new build at a good price.

I did this like 8 years ago starting with a bone graft and tooth implant for my back tooth where the root canal had failed. The whole process was not pleasant but not terrible.

First order is to extract the tooth that is busted off at the gum line. next they perform a bone graft. After three month for healing they install a titanium post into the jaw then another three months for healing. Last they install a typical crown. Like AL said, the worst part is the cost.

How long have you had to deal with a tooth broken off at the gum line? That's sounds like constant torture on the order of tonsillitis pain that delivers exquisite pain you every time you swallow.

And now you can look forward to half a year of procedures and rehab? Fuck man that's fucking brutal.

This tooth was originally broken in 1986 right before I left the Army. I was breaking up a fight (I was an MP) and caught a rifle barrel across the mouth.

It's been nothing really. It's just visible when I smile and I hate that.

That does seem like a long time. I talked to my boss today and his mom had five done in Los Algodones over a 6 to 8 week period for a total cost of $5,000.

Hey ASUH - let me clarify as I only write the checks. ;)

UofA has an outstanding dance curriculum program meaning if you want to major in dance and open a studio and/or teach it's definitely the place to go. In fact, one of the top programs in the entire country.

But if you want to perform and be a part of a dance team (and compete at places like UDA in FL) then ASU along with a lot of the B10 schools like OSU, UM and Minnesota plus USC are much stronger.

My daughter wants to perform in the future - her dream is to be on Broadway - so that's why she's looking at schools with better dance teams. But the other dilemma is she wants to be able to audition so that's why she also has schools like Fordham, NYU, UCLA, USC on her list because places Phoenix or Columbus, OH don't provide much of an opportunity to perform on the big stage.

Dude: Well, I guess, but I couldn't have ordered the parts after 3PM anyway.

Dude: So ..... you want me to order 'em right?
Old Guy: Ya think? And it's already past 3 today.
Dude: ..... The office com system is automated ya know ..... so ..... like .....

I'll probably get a call after 3 today telling me the parts didn't come in to fix the front-end of the car my wife wrecked. Decided a month ago to splurge a bit early (even though the wife is not getting paid on her maternity leave, yay america) and upgrade the side fences and gates on our house. Sure wish I hadn't done that now because my water bill suddenly shot up $800 this month and I found out my irrigation system is toast (it's almost 20 years old). So that's a fuck ton of money gone from savings I wasn't counting on.

Yea it's normally about $90 and went up to almost $800, so I misspoke slightly. I do have a pool and a very extensive irrigation system to feed about 15 various plants and 7 fruit and citrus trees.

I believe you are in Tucson, the water company does forgive a large bill once every three years. If you have not done that in the past you should give them a call. I got one dropped from $1200 to $150 this summer.
