It's my anniversary on Monday (18 years)

And I want to go eat downtown.

Where should I go?

I'd recommend the cup cafe at hotel congress. My wife and I went there for dinner last year for our 1st anniversary. Feast on speedway tonight for our 2nd!

Cafe Poca Cosa would be my vote, but they're closed on Mondays. 47 Scott always has a unique menu and their Brickhouse Old-Fashioned is my favorite restaurant cocktail. Downtown Kitchen & Cocktails is also solid, kinda pricey though.

We've done the Cup many times (We used to pretty much live at Club Congress back in the day!)

Love Poca Cosa but being closed is a problem! We've also did the Downtown Kitchen for an anniversary dinner a couple years ago.

Haven't done 47 Scott yet though...

Thanks for the suggestions... keep em coming!

on our last dating anniversary before we got married we ended up just getting beers at Borderlands and grabbing some tacos from a place just west of downtown. it was great!

I would skip downtown and go to Agustin Kitchen in Mercado if you haven't been. Gets some cocktails and enjoy the courtyard while you wait. If you must do Downtown I would say Obon, Maynards or Downtown Kitchen but they aren't as "special"

Glad i don't deliver in downtown anymore. Not even the hot receptionist and tight jeans can keep me going back to all that traffic.
BTW, nice looking building.

Sounds good to me. That corner will be a fun dichotomy now. There's a new fancy expensive student apartment complex opening up now on the north side of the street and in the south side is the Greyhound bus station with it's assorted interesting people, a del taco and a strip club.

Doubtful. If you look close you can see it's just taped on. Someone with a large format printer just got creative. Well done, whoever did it.

The sign was gone today, and the only vacant building in that area is the old Office Max. I hope it isn't real. I live near there and the last thing the neighborhood needs is an Office Max sized strip club.

Driving my mom to the airport down Kino about an hour ago and witnessed the end of a high speed chase. Some guy in a truck blasts by us going like 100 down Kino and then swerves over and goes into oncoming traffic and disappears around the bend. 30 seconds later we go around the bend getting closer to 36th St and there's a cloud of dust and the truck has flipped over the median and hit another car going the opposite way. Driver was ejected and laying on the asphalt like 100 feet from the truck and the cops were rolling up and getting out and going up to the body. Hope the random people that had their car hit by a rolling truck are ok. Not what I was expecting to see on a Sunday going to the airport.

Man, I miss Tucson. Every city has been lost during the pandemic, but I really, really miss Tucson. Everything before the pandemic seems like a really great dream that I woke up from.
