Yeah it is some sort of plumage. The piece of amber in question here is only about 1-2 inches in diameter. The dinosaur it came from is related to dinosaurs like velociraptor and the t-rex. Apparently this one was only the size of a small chicken at the most.

Probably not the best place for this but someone synchronized his Christmas lights with AC/DC's song "Thunderstruck" and its pretty great.
Our universe itself lies in the interior of a hollow world
The Earth is hollow, with an inner sun and a more advanced civilization than ours within
Some of the Inner Earth people are aware of Earth's outer surface, and others are not
Earth's radius is 3,963 miles long and the halfway point between Outer Earth and Inner Earth is 400 miles below us
There are 3 openings into the inner earth: 2 near the poles and 1 in the Himalayas
The aurora borealis is really sunlight from the inner sun
Global warming is really caused by the Earth's inner sun
Most UFOs don't come from outer space. They come from "inner space"
Human beings were created (that is, invented) via genetic experiments that were conducted by reptilian aliens. These reptilian aliens, also known as the "Anunnaki" or the "Reptilians," still rule the Earth to this day
The Reptilians have indoctrinated you so thoroughly that you are probably too weak-minded to even fathom that they exist
I fucking knew it!

A massive lake of molten carbon the size of Mexico is discovered under the US, and it could cause climate CHAOS
Apparently a lot of scientists are converging for this.

These discoveries are usually overhyped by the media beforehand. They expect news of alien life but science proceeds 1% at a time with things like this..Not in huge jumps. I bet it is just an announcement of a new somewhat Earth sized planet somewhere near its star's habitable zone.

Huge discovery. All the planets are within several million miles of each other and you'd be able to see multiple moon sized planets in the sky from any planets surface

those are some really short orbital periods. So much for a planet with seasons lol. I wonder what the rotational rate is of each planet.
scumdevils86 wrote:remember, god made us special and we're all alone in the universe.
well until we can travel at fast enough speeds to disprove them, they'll still believe that.

I was wondering that too. With a year lasting a few days, does a day last like half an hour?

It's believed that at those short distances from the star that planets like those would be tidally locked and wouldn't rotate. Same side would always face the star.
So far the 7 Dwarves seem to be in the lead. Though the 7 deadly sins is coming on strong.

yes I know what tidally locked means, just hadn't read that regarding these planets, and thus why I was wondering what the rotational rate was.

gotcha. in the past astronomers always thought that a planet being tidally locked was a death sentence for life on the planet since one side would be hundreds of degrees and blasted by radiation and the other would be frozen. but i've read that they think that if the planet has enough water and atmosphere that the heat could be exchanged from one side of the planet to the other and balance out the climate some. and there's always the twilight zones on the planets too.

I remember when these came out. I was stationed in Japan where they were released first, and thought they wouldn't last as DAT (Digital Audio Tape) would destroy them.

I wanted to say "but I still buy cd's!" .... then I realized my last retail cd purchase was....at least 2 or 3 years ago now, maybe longer. I did pick up a couple cd's at a yard sale over a year ago.
....
in fact upon further thinking, it may have been 5+ years ago that I last bought a retail cd.

I think the last time I bought a CD must have been in like 2010. But from like 2000 to 2009 I probably bought 100 CDs. And burned another 50 from "legal" downloads.
