*sigh* This is not a random thing but my wireless internet provider (Clear) is going dark at the end of the day and it will be a week or so before I likely post here again. You gotta love how they used to roll with the fake wood paneling on electronics. It's like, "Oooo. Look at this fine craftsmanship. Is it an antique made by the Amish? No, wait - it's an electronic gadget! It's technology that looks good enough to match all of my old fashioned furnishings! I feel like I'm on the package of a tub of Country Crock!"

Pretty cool today. My dept. head came through with checks like he does every Friday, but today he was trailed by the shop manager and the company CEO. They all extended their hands and wished everybody a happy Thanksgiving. The CEO then handed out Happy Thanksgiving cards that had a $35 gift card for the grocery store along with a little hand written note. That was a nice touch. We're not a big company, but a hand written note in about 100 cards is damn nice.

How come hot dogs come in packages of 10 but hot dog buns come in packages of 8?

I was actually curious about this and I found out that hot dogs are about a 1/10th of a pound, so they come in 1 lb. packages.

Doesn't explain why the corporate bakeries haven't caught on to this yet though...

If somebody came out with packages of 8 hot dogs or 10 buns, would they sell like crazy? Or would they get shut down by some kind of intimidating hot dog and bun racket?

What industry? Only people who get tested where I work at are the transportation mechanics, since they need a commercial drivers license.

I have a couple of brothers who work in defense (Raytheon) and they are not allowed to smoke weed, even with a medical card. Don't know if they do random screenings or not.

Most companies only do a screening if there is an injury in the work place or in a company vehicle etc and it needs to be determined if you were under the influence (still debatable with weed anyway) or if they have reason to believe you are showing up to work intoxicated.

We build parts for the aerospace industry. Our biggest customer is Honeywell.

Something I have wondered about for years, and really don't care for this happening.

Why do strippers, especially in the VIP room slap their butt? I don't find it appealing at all.
