We're setting up for flash floods in Flag the next two days.

The hurricane remnants that were supposed to drench Tucson the last 18 hours with another 3 inches of rain didn't pan out. Got maybe another quarter inch only.

Mt Lemmon has received 37 inches of rain since June 15th, that's more than the average annual total for Seattle.

It doesn’t flood like that in New York. The last time their weather was like this was Superstorm Sandy.

We had a Tornado warning here in CT.

It has been so wet all summer I have yet to water my lawn.

Absolutely beautiful, never seen the Catalina's that green. One very large elephant in the room....what happens late spring and early next Summer(or possibly the following Spring/Summer?). Very reminiscent of what happened a couple of winters ago with the big rains and massive desert weed blooms. Unfortunately some of those blooms turned into the Bush, Woodbury and Telegraph fires among many others. Me and a buddy even talked about the area around Superior 2 springs ago and said a massive fire would result. Well unfortunately forward thinking is apparently not a strong suit of us humans.
Hopefully some of those recent funds that were appropriated to wildfire prevention find their way into clearing at least some of these weeds out before disaster arises. Sorry to shit on such an awesome sight.

Yea as wonderful as this monsoon has been with so much needed rain...unless we have proper fire management and another 5-10 monsoons and winters with this much rain and snow...

If summer 2022 is like summer 2020 then we're in for a world of hurt with fires everywhere.

I don't think I posted it here, but I read an article about a recent study showing how in the west today's catastrophic fires blow right through managed areas because the drought is so bad that fuel reduction utterly fails to mitigate the firestorm. Thinned areas, old fire scars, prescribed burns ..... none of it matters if the fuels are super dry. Nothing slows down the fire.

The Forest Service recommended focusing on hardening buildings and saving lives because the rest is virtually hopeless.

Are we done with the 100s? :? Mid to low 90s the next 10 days.

30% chance of rain this weekend. Hopefully Tuesday night was not the end of the down pours. So many rain gauges in Tucson close to 20" in just 2 months time

If we are done with the hundreds that would be amazing. Would also be on track for one of the lowest totals of 100+ days in the last 40 years. Like bottom 5 or so. And the best majority came all in June. There's been almost as many days of highs in the 70-80s this summer in Tucson as 105+.

Well its forecast to be 92-99 every day through September 17th in Tucson, so the 100s could be done. Still a good 4 weeks after that where they are still possible but less likely every day. So there might be another dozen days in the next 6 weeks where it gets in the upper 90s but 100s miiighttt be done.

Yeah they completely changed the Forecast in like 2 days. Went from high 90's and rain chances this weekend to 105 and dry in the matter of 2 days(live up near CG). Bullshit.

First hurrah of fall, poured for 20 min at about 4:30 here, well, where I was, my house didn't get any.

Supposed to drop 20 degrees and rain all day tomorrow.

I think that actually means the weather isn't crazy.?
