I just went from small town America west coast to small town America east coast, so 3 flights each way, and every single one of them stated clearly that you will wear your mask, and if you eat or drink you just pull it down or up, you do not take it off.

If you read Twitter it was thousands of cancelled flights and the end of society as we know it.

In reality it was a few hundred cancelled flights due to weather, mechanical issues, and yes, staffing issues. Remains to be seen whether this is going to become a huge deal but people should stop acting like it’s one because someone on Twitter claims they know an air traffic controller.

I was boarded on a plane from Mexico City to LAX years ago that got delayed at the gate. They were getting a warning indicator and couldn't clear it (how about fixing the error before you try clearing the warning?).

They fucking REBOOTED THE AIRPLANE. Powered down everything, engines obviously, but also lights, aircon, audio, everything. Just so you know... a plane gets pretty stuffy after 15 minutes of no aircon and a two hundred nervous passengers.

What was their warning indicator I wonder? The Windows PC Blue Screen Of Death for crying out loud?

We got to LAX eventually, but the entire plane stood up and cheered that we made it.

I was flying from Vera Cruz to Mexico City and on to Mexicali a few years ago. My connection in Mex City was very tight. I told the stewardess and she said don't sweat it.

As I got off the plane in Mex City, there was a guy with a radio who took me down to and across the tarmac directly to my connecting gate. At the bottom of the stairs, he handed me off to another dude with a radio who walked me right up to the plane door. How many American airlines would do this?
