One Hell of a crazy drive tonight from Tucson to Benson to Tombstone to Bisbee. Pretty terrifying actually. Weather is gorgeous in Bisbee though and I'm staying at this amazing little house up on the top of the hill.

Bisbee is a wonderful and progressive town. Visit the bar downtown. If you look normal you stand out.

Illinois and Indiana had the wettest June on record and this was the fourth wettest month overall since records started being kept in 1895.

It's early July and it feels like early May. Temps may not make it out of the low 60s today and it's cloudy and rainy. Do I live in San Francisco or something?

No thanks. I would settle for the low to mid 80s.

No deal. Unless you want to give us 30° in January...

Spokane had its hottest June on record. It was 105 for Hoopfest weekend (as seen on ESPN). Lot of people here don't have AC. Been 15 to 20 degrees above normal for about two weeks.

Got hammered by t-storms this morning, and now we're under a tornado watch for the evening.

Luckily it cleared up in the middle of the day and I was able to go to an independent league baseball game with my son and his summer camp.

It appears Southern California is going to get some much needed rain this weekend. It also seems Tucson (and Phoenix) are going to receive a lot of rain too.

http://www.weather.com/storms/hurricane ... ef=Default
However, Dolores' path west of the Baja peninsula will send a surge of deep tropical moisture up the Gulf of California into parts of the Desert Southwest through the weekend.

This will enhance the threat of thunderstorms from the Four Corners into the Desert Southwest, including parts of New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, western Colorado, Nevada and mainly the mountains and deserts of Southern California.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — All traffic along a major freeway connecting California and Arizona was blocked indefinitely when a bridge over a desert wash collapsed during heavy rain, and the roadway in the opposite direction suffered severe damage, authorities said.

The collapse on Interstate 10 in southeastern California Sunday afternoon left one driver injured, stranded numerous motorists and complicated travel for countless thousands for what officials warned could be a long time.

"Interstate 10 is closed completely and indefinitely," said Terri Kasinga, spokeswoman for the California Department of Transportation.

The closure will force motorists seeking to use I-10 to travel between California and Arizona to go hundreds of miles out of their way to Interstate 8 to the south or Interstate 40 to the north.
