What will I do? My parrot supposedly averages a shit every 15 minutes. I haven't timed it, but I suspect it's every five minutes.

That's a good article. They aren't pets. I'd try to talk anyone out of getting one and supporting the parrot-as-pet industry.

I never understood birds as pets unless you actually let them fly around your house / yard.

You do let them do that, and should. And you have to motivate them, because they'd rather just watch T.V. But it requires a ton of studying and training for the person to go through in order to flight them. Not a pet. They're wild animals.

But you really do have a fuller experience than you get with a dog or a cat. The level of mutual understanding and communication is just at a completely different level. And not a pet, but they do like to get petted.

There is a still image of LH with his parrot over at TOS getting a present for Christmas. Not sure who the present was for.

That was a classic. Just the most absurd image in every way. Catgrad 97 made it his avatar for a while. I didn't keep it, so I'll have to go dig it out of TOS. That was my old lovebird, B, who died a few years back after 17 years (I don't know how old he was when I got him in 1993, though).

Beyond the bizarre print, look at the size of the shirt. Am I sitting on a child's port-a-potty? And that gift? A pen from the drug store? Is it from Debbie? The most perfect photograph in the history of all things.

My wife was watching a video of a pet monkey getting a bath in the sink. The parrot demanded the same immediately. Had to stop everything and give him a bath in the sink.

They're cargo shorts, which apparently are almost as out of style as your jorts.
