I have never seen a player take such a huge downturn. He actually looked afraid on the court.

Philly looked atrocious.

The guy who passed up a wide open dunk in the 4th quarter of a playoff game has something he’d like to say…

He might not make it out of Philly alive.

My lord, talk about major denial.

I actually think he has something non-physical going on so while he deserves to be bashed he should seek some help right away.

Being an NBA player takes an incredible amount of discipline. Simmons is such a rare talent, he's good enough to be role player without having the discipline to learn how to shoot the basketball.

He doesn’t even have the discipline to keep his body at peak performance level. The dude has an entire room in his house dedicated to candy. Nothing says “I’m a professional athlete” like a candy room.

The Sixers could trade Simmons and Embiid together to the Lakers for Lebron, Caldwell-Pope, and Harrell.

If you are a Sixers fan, it might be time to stop trusting the process.

- In 2013 they draft Michael Carter-Williams who goes on to win rookie of the year. Where is he now? Orlando.

- In 2014 they draft Embiid at #3 and Elfrid Payton at #10. Embiid is a stud. Payton is traded on draft night for Dario Saric & picks. Where is Saric now? On the Suns. And Payton is helping with the Knicks resurgence.

- In 2015 they draft Jahlil Okafor at #3. They then totally fuck him over and bench him to build around Embiid and Ben Simmons. He’s now in Detroit.

- In 2016 they draft Simmons #1. Then they give him a max contract after he wins Rookie of the Year in his second season because he sat out his real rookie year and after putting up some triple doubles in his second (third) season. He now won’t shoot even when he has open layups and is owed $145M over the next four years. Everyone wants him to be traded, but no one is eating that kind of money for a role player.

- In 2017 they draft Markelle Fultz #1 basically because of his high school stats. He sucks, is constantly injured, can’t shoot, and gets traded to Orlando.

- In 2018 they draft Mikal Bridges at #10 and trade him to the Suns on draft night for Zhaire Smith and a future draft pick. Bridges is currently in the Western Conference Finals after putting together his best season to date while Zhaire is on the Memphis Hustle of the G League.

Yeah, fuck your process Philly. All those high level picks and only Embiid to show for them?

Terrible…

The pick used on Payton was acquired by trading Jrue Holiday off of an all star season, also.

They had not plan, they loaded up on bigs (Embiid, Noel, Okafor, Saric) and then took a PG number 1 in back to back drafts. Never once taking a wing.

The Markelle Fultz pick when you are planning to start Simmons at the point made no sense. The best non PG in that draft was Jayson Tatum that year.

That's an amazing timeline. Thank you, Chi.

It's all made so much worse by using the Process to suck all of those years just tanking for lottery picks.

And yet there's no fan base that deserves to be dicked over more than Philadelphia's, so we welcome all this.

I realize that everyone knows that these eastern finalists are sooooooo much better than the Suns and Clippers, but to my naive eyes, both WCF teams would kick both these ECF teams' respective asses. And outcoach them in the process.

I have no idea what I'm missing, but I guess I'll find out.

538 has the Suns winning the whole thing. Don't worry what the pundits are saying. I don't see anyone that will take the Suns past 6 games. The Clippers with a healthy Kawhi is the only team with a chance imho

But don't you think the Clippers as is -- without Kawhi -- would raze the East? I feel like the media went overboard in connecting PG's two missed free throws to what happened in the bubble last year. That team is a machine and PG has seriously stepped up. In multiple sequences per playoff game, they're downright scary on offense and defense. Other than the hypothetical Nets, I can't say that about anybody in the East.

The dude wasn't traveling with the team, at all, other than the day after it happened and was sitting in a suite for 2 weeks.

They announced it as a partial tear, which, if true, gives you your answer.

The Lakers would love to have him but not even Durant bailed to be a small fish on the team that his team beat. The Suns are Paul's creation and a work-in-progress.

EDIT: Looking at it another way, I guess the Suns instead of Paul could possibly push a trade to the Lakers and Paul would agree.

If the Suns were to want to trade Paul (insanity), they'd probably do a sign-and-trade that sends Lakers players to Toronto and Lowry to the Suns. But this is all pretty much ridiculous to talk about.

God, I hope the Lakers don't do anything crazy to get him.

I'm sorry, CP3 is a great, great player...just not a finisher imo. I appreciate what he did for the Suns and he would certainly help the Lakers backcourt situation but I wouldn't want to be stupid about obtaining him.

The Lakers wouldn't lose anything from their core because they'd have leverage over a third team needing to get just something rather than nothing in a sign-and-trade.
