Here is what I am hearing

Magic straight up did not want to work

There might be some #metoo stuff with Magic coming out soon

Luke is getting interest from Kings and Suns to be their head coach

I am not sure if he leaves now

It’s a giant shit show and Jeannie has to step up now and run shit

At least this takes top story over the UCLA hiring debacle.

Andy Enfield must be pleased as punch having the most stable basketball program in the area.

Sounds like there is a LOT going on behind the scenes and a clear split between Pelinka and Magic and others.

Oh, are they giving Joakim Noah a four year, $72M contract?

Trust me when I say that Magic's inattention was no where close to the way Phil Jackson's over-involvement fucked over the Knicks to this day. Beyond Lebron, the Lakers don't have an albatross contract on their roster. That means they have the ability to turn this thing around.

Actually, in a hilarious twist, of the Lakers keep the pick, which I doubt, it hurts them because they covet CAP space above all, and jumping to 4 stole 4 million of it.

I still think the Lakers trade the pick/Ingram/Ball for some quality player, even if not Davis, now.

It is weird that getting that pick could hurt them

In other news, Magic has gone crazy

Basically everything I heard is Magic did not want to work and it pissed everyone off

I also think we trade the pick with Lonzo and Ingram

Anthony Davis to the Lakers for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and 3 first round picks. Seems like a big win for the Pelicans since they're still going to get Zion. 3 players, 3 extra first rounders and Zion? Good job pelicans.

The picks will likely be low firsts and probably worth it alone to keep Lavar away for good. But the Pelicans have a nice young team provided Ingram and Ball don't end up medical busts whne it's all over

Lakers hoping to add Kemba Walker? Kyrie Irving still in play? (doubt it) But rumors flying. Jimmy Butler likes LA. LA should be able to make a serious run in 2020.

Lakers gave up more than needed even after Thai post, simply because Davis was forcing his way there, was signing there in a year, and the Lakers overpaid to ensure the window made by the Warriors.

Don’t forget the unprotected rights to swap 1sts, which could easy be significant.

The Lakers getting a better deal now than then and still overpaying can both be true.

You trade anything it takes to link Davis and Bron, plus have the flexibility to rebuild that entire roster this summer. Glad to see the Lakers learned their lesson from the Paul George hunt. When these guys become available on the trade market, you go get them. You dont sit on your hands saying, "theyll just sign with us next summer when they are free agents."

My Clippers need to find a way to close Kawhi.

This. The Lakers had to get AD as the Lebron window to get to a title is short and waiting a year "in hopes" to get him backfired with George and Kawhi. You can now compete with anyone with Lebron and AD - just need to fill in the rest of the pieces. And keeping Kuzma was huge imo. I look at it this way would the current Laker team with the addition of the 4th pick be better? Don't think so.

As for the Pelicans, with Zion plus Ingram, Ball, Hart and the 4th pick they are building a pretty strong team. Not to mention AD would probably be gone after next year anyway.

Kind of had the same thought (re: LBJ) but now that he's wearing the purple and gold, well things changed.

It's the only LA team to cheer for, and also the only one with Clippy from MS Word as a logo and hopefully future mascot.

Pelinka geezzz...not a good look after pulling off AD trade. Needs to focus on getting vet players instead of going all in for another max contract. 23 mill pays for at least 2 maybe 3 guys?

Lakers reportedly didn’t understand cap ramifications of Anthony Davis trade until after initial talks

Okay, if Lakers pull off Kawhi deal, I take back the comment. Pelinka deserves a high 5, so will see what happens now.

As a Laker fan, I was pretty excited when Jeannie Buss took the organization back over and she has done some good things but they need to see what works in the current NBA. Cousins and Howard are not going to help. Really disappointed to see Howard resigned. Dude is good but he will never be a big part of any championship team. Fuck, I hope they figure it out soon. Oh well, I can't complain since I got to experience some pretty big championship runs in my life.

This should be an interesting year with no real clear front runner and many teams with a real shot at the title. The NBA is in a really healthy place right now. I'm loving the NBA. Great teams and great players.
