See ya, Magic.
At least this takes top story over the UCLA hiring debacle.TucsonClip wrote:Things are looking up for the worst franchise in LA.
Sounds like there is a LOT going on behind the scenes and a clear split between Pelinka and Magic and others.Newportcat wrote:Here is what I am hearing
Magic straight up did not want to work
There might be some #metoo stuff with Magic coming out soon
Luke is getting interest from Kings and Suns to be their head coach
I am not sure if he leaves now
It’s a giant shit show and Jeannie has to step up now and run shit
The Clippers look like the Warriors compared to the rest of LA.Merkin wrote:At least this takes top story over the UCLA hiring debacle.TucsonClip wrote:Things are looking up for the worst franchise in LA.
Andy Enfield must be pleased as punch having the most stable basketball program in the area.
Oh, are they giving Joakim Noah a four year, $72M contract?Alieberman wrote:Lakers are turning into the Knicks.
I'm all for it.

Depends on how this summer shakes out but at this point I would say BadCalStateTempe wrote:So one year on, LBJ to lakers, was it a good thing or a bad thing?

Actually, in a hilarious twist, of the Lakers keep the pick, which I doubt, it hurts them because they covet CAP space above all, and jumping to 4 stole 4 million of it.Newportcat wrote:Nopescumdevils86 wrote:YupAlieberman wrote:Lakers are turning into the Knicks.

No one can be as pathetic as the Knicks

4th pick not so bad
Pelicans get #4, and 2 of the next 7 years 1sts. They get to decide.MrBug708 wrote:The picks will likely be low firsts and probably worth it alone to keep Lavar away for good. But the Pelicans have a nice young team provided Ingram and Ball don't end up medical busts whne it's all over
2018 Trade Deadline, Los Angeles Lakers offer:ASUHATER! wrote:All true, but as of now it seems like the Pelicans fleeced the Lakers.
Lakers gave up more than needed even after Thai post, simply because Davis was forcing his way there, was signing there in a year, and the Lakers overpaid to ensure the window made by the Warriors.MrBug708 wrote:2018 Trade Deadline, Los Angeles Lakers offer:ASUHATER! wrote:All true, but as of now it seems like the Pelicans fleeced the Lakers.
- Lonzo Ball
- Brandon Ingram
- Josh Hart
- Kyle Kuzma
- Ivicia Zubac
- Cap space (taking on Solomon Hill contract)
- 3 future first round picks
REJECTED.

- Lonzo Ball

- Josh Hart

ACCEPTED.
I don't relish the thought of the Queen Diva of the Universe, LBJ, winning a title with the Lakers, but it will help to see the King Asshole of the Universe, LaVar Ball, eat his words.HiCat wrote:Lakers hoping to add Kemba Walker? Don’t forget the unprotected rights to swap 1sts, which could easy be significant.
The Lakers getting a better deal now than then and still overpaying can both be true.
To me it feels like both teams won.JMarkJohns wrote:Lakers gave up more than needed even after Thai post, simply because Davis was forcing his way there, was signing there in a year, and the Lakers overpaid to ensure the window made by the Warriors.MrBug708 wrote:2018 Trade Deadline, Los Angeles Lakers offer:ASUHATER! wrote:All true, but as of now it seems like the Pelicans fleeced the Lakers.

This. The Lakers had to get AD as the Lebron window to get to a title is short and waiting a year "in hopes" to get him backfired with George and Kawhi. You can now compete with anyone with Lebron and AD - just need to fill in the rest of the pieces. And keeping Kuzma was huge imo. I look at it this way would the current Laker team with the addition of the 4th pick be better? Don't think so.Chicat wrote:To me it feels like both teams won.JMarkJohns wrote:Lakers gave up more than needed even after Thai post, simply because Davis was forcing his way there, was signing there in a year, and the Lakers overpaid to ensure the window made by the Warriors.MrBug708 wrote:2018 Trade Deadline, Los Angeles Lakers offer:ASUHATER! wrote:All true, but as of now it seems like the Pelicans fleeced the Lakers.

After I disowned my Suns fandom, I became a Warriors fan because of the obvious Cats connection, but also because of bandwaggoning, and my apparent lack of shame about that.TucsonClip wrote:

It's the only LA team to cheer for, and also the only one with Clippy from MS Word as a logo and hopefully future mascot.Longhorned wrote:After I disowned my Suns fandom, I became a Warriors fan because of the obvious Cats connection, but also because of bandwaggoning, and my apparent lack of shame about that.TucsonClip wrote:

But as a Tucsonan, shouldn't I make my permanent team the Clippers? I always think of San Diego as the natural NBA city for Tucson, and since we just lost the Clippers to Los Angeles 40 years ago, it makes sense, right?
