Good job Houston:
If it wasn't clear before Wednesday that Jeremy Lin's days with the Houston Rockets were numbered, it is now.

In an effort to court Carmelo Anthony, the Rockets posted pictures of Anthony in a No. 7 jersey in the windows near one of the entrances to the Toyota Center.

Anthony wore No. 7 with the New York Knicks, so it makes sense that they'd want to let him know how he'd look in Rockets red. The only problem? Lin currently wears No. 7 in Houston.

Lin responded to the development by tweeting a Bible verse Wednesday morning.

Pau for Perkins, Lamb and Roberson/Jones? Makes sense for both sides. Otherwise will Pau take MLE in OKC?

That's a great move if they can pull that off. I'd have them coming out the West next year

Nice number for buyers in market. He's a near all-star PG and got less than 50 over 4.

It's a nice number for both sides.

Hawes to the Clippers.

Based on early talk, it seemed Hawes would replace Frye who'd go to LA or Golden State.

Seems like Frye may have opted out to give Suns more CAP, likely being resigned via Bird Rights after CAP is accounted for.

If so, kudos. Still think a sign/trade with Warriors could happen.

Link to watch NBA summer league games on NBA-TV.
Watching Gordon now, Nick Johnson and Rockets next.

EDIT: Gordon finished with 7 points and 5 rebounds in his first professional action.

Feeling like Anthony to the Lakers. Welcome back, Los Angeles. Sorry you had to go through that nearly half-decade with no championships.

Looks like there's also talk of Lebron foregoing the max to join in. I just don't see Lebron going off to play alongside Kobe. I don't see how it would work.

Diaw returning to San Antonio 3/22.

Good contract. This and Hawes set Frye's market.

I like that McRoberts signing for the Heat. Good passer and he started knocking down threes last season as well. Should be a good pick and pop man.

I was listening to the Laker Cap discussion today and Anthony would have to take a $33MM paycut (vs. what the Knicks will pay) if Kobe doesn't adjust his contract. And that's without Gasol factored in.

Can they move Nash's $9 mil.?

I'm not sure how it will work for the Lakers if a Kobe cut isn't in the cards.

Kobe cant renegotiate his contract.

They might find a way to dump Nash, but more than likely they will be stuck with him or use the stretch provision on him.

Just so we are straight...

The Cavs used their cap space on Bynum and Jack and then dumped 4 first round picks (Zeller, Karasev, pick to Celtics and pick to get Deng) in order to get their cap space back. They will have enough to offer Bron the max, but also gave more assets to the Celtics to make a deal for Love.

Ainge and Morey have mastered the collecting assets plan to trade for the 1st star you need to land the 2nd (KG -> Ray Allen; Harden -> Dwight).

This indirectly impacts the Heat via Bosh and the Rockets max offer for him. Houston has 72 hours to make a decision on Parsons. They need to use their cap space to sign a free agent in the next 3 days, not to mention completing the Asik deal and dumping Lin. Otherwise, if they match Parsons they have no more cap. They could choose to sign and trade him to Dallas, but I think Houston finds a way to land another impact player and match Parsons.

Miami is still better than Cleveland in many different aspects, if it was a basketball "Decisision" to just win championships he would have gone to Chicago.

I have somewhat of some inside information, much like 4 years ago. Not 100% yet, but Cavs fans will not be happy... At least for another 2 years.

I was being told 2 year deal ETO on year 2 from about as high up as you can get. A few other sources were preparing to help him move, but they thought they had him locked up for at least 1 more year. They felt they had him about 36 hours ago, but clearly it was more like 50/50.

What is next?

1. New Orleans finalizes Asik deal
2. Rockets trade Line
3. Bosh decides
4. Houston matches Parsons
5. Cavs deal Wiggins + Bennett, Waiters/Thompson (potentially Varejao, but I doubt it) for Love.

Lin will get dealt to Philly, Bosh goes to Houston. I still don't think the Cavs beat the Spurs in year 1 though

Edit: Of course I go 0-2 on this post lol

Time to sell off Waiters, make Bosh or Love an offer and get Wiggins ready for the 2.

Wade passed up on the two years and $42 million left on his contract. If he hadn't done that, Miami would have been saddled with one of the worst contracts in the league. I wonder how much regret he's feeling right now.

Lin being deal to the Lakers with a future 1st and "draft considerations," according to Woj.

Is it just me, or can Cleveland trade

Thompson/Waiters to Heat for Bosh
Wiggins/Bennett/1sts/Filler Wolves for Love
Sign Miller and Allen.

Seems realistic.

I got real creative: Amnesty Boozer, sign Melo, S&T Dunleavy, Butler, Snell and filler for Wade. OR S&T Mirotic, Butler Gibson and filler for Melo and S&T Boozer and 1st for Wade

Find what it will take to get Bennett, Waiters and XXXXXXX for Love and go all in.

Kyrie
Wiggins
LeBron
Love
Random Center

Allen, Miller, etc off the bench. That's a guaranteed finals team in the East.

I agree, and its insane, but its stuff like this that stirs up my insecurities that Miller will leave for back east or the NBA before winning a chipper at UofA.
