Call this 20/20 hindsight or Monday morning QBing but Phoenix not getting the ball to Ayton all game really fucked them in the 4th quarter.

The offense in the last fifteen minutes was CP dribble for 15 seconds then work for a mid range shot or a drive and kick to Crowder/Cam(x2), or Booker dribble for ten seconds and then drive & put up a floater. The Bucks certainly didn’t fear the three point shot and Ayton’s ability to draw double and triple teams BEFORE the pass was totally negated.

The one time CP did look for Deandre it took maybe the greatest defensive play in the history of the NBA to stop it. Seriously… who has ever heard of a player successfully defending the dribble AND THE drive?

If Phoenix doesn’t feed Ayton on the block they become easy to stop. Simple as that.

Chris Paul looked out of gas. Jrue Holiday was allowed to push CP3 around all night, which bottlenecked his productivity, all while the Suns were handed out fouls pretty much anytime Milwaukee had the ball.

Veteran's Memorial Coliseum was one of the worst "modern" arenas in the 70s and 80s, just behind Hemisfair in San Antonio.

Footprint is a seriously cool for a corporate sponsor, if such a thing can exist.

The Forum was also a dump.

Two confounding things from that era were the Lakers' inability to match their jerseys' shades of purple to that of their shorts, and the Suns letting their home court's purple keys get scuffed and faded into lavender.

The Suns are really good obviously but the Bucks learned faster how to play in the Finals. Suns took plays off yet again when they built a lead. The Bucks don't take a second off.

This game completely shifted at the start of the 2nd quarter. The Bucks sat Giannis for an extended period and the Suns then for some reason just started to jack up 3's early in the clock instead of driving to the basket. The misses led to many easy Bucks baskets on the other end.

Most of these guys are young and will have other chances.

But Monty needs to tell CP3: “If you lose this series, you’ll take it to your fucking grave.”

Those are exactly the plays they took off. And yes, they were like voluntary turnovers. Suns sat Ayton and Bucks played Lopez against the small ball. Instead of killing Lopez with ball movement and screens, Suns jacked it up early in the shot clock, and then played lazy transition D on the way back down the floor and got picked apart.

We built the 1st quarter lead with defense that gave the Bucks no space to operate, and they turned it over repeatedly. Then we came out in the second quarter and stopped playing offense, and gave them the open floor. By the time the Suns got serious again, the Bucks were ridiculously hot.

The Bucks gave 100% on every possession, rebound, and loose ball all game long. The Suns took off half of the second quarter like it was the regular season.

In 2009 when I saw the fans rush the field early against Oregon, I knew we were going to lose.

When I saw the dude counting money during Giannis free throws I knew that the Suns were losing this series. There is no way to overcome such douchebagery.

Same. Mike Stoops going into the prevent defense to start the 4th quarter.

The only thing the prevent defense does is prevent winning. Quote by the former Notre Dame coach who became an announcer.

Yeah but UofAlum05 means that the fans caused the loss. People who grew up Suns fans believe that a team's losses stem from divine interventions responding to their fanbase's confidence, and transfer that belief to other teams we root for.

Also, Phoenix Suns fans relate to being down 3-2 in a series in terms of a game 6 exit, rather than how other teams have beaten the Suns in 7 when the Suns went up 3-2 (Sonics in 1979, Rockets twice in the 90s). Pulling through is something that only other teams do to the Suns.

Gonna take a lot of team effort on defense and rebounding to try and win this now. Also, as great as booker played the last two games, the team cannot just get complacent and let him do his thing, he is going to need help.
