But they just signed Danny Green. That's got to make signing Aldridge more difficult, doesn't it?84Cat wrote:Spurs have traded Splitter so they should be in a good position to land Aldridge. It seems like a very robust free agency this year with some crazy numbers being thrown around. The Heat have given Dragic a $90 million, 5 year deal & Anthony Davis has resigned with NO for 5 years $145 million. Wow!

After Game 1 of the NBA Finals, that’s when it really struck me. Sitting on the sidelines, I never wanted to play in a game more than that one. I had dreamed of playing in the NBA Finals and I just wanted to help my guys win. I couldn’t have been prouder of them as they poured their blood, sweat and tears onto the court.
Yeah, of course I’ve heard the free agency rumors. But at the end of the day, and after meeting with my teammates (it turns out pools are great meeting places) and with the front office, it was clear Cleveland was the place for me. We’re all on the same page and we’re all in. We have unfinished business and now it’s time to get back to work.
No, Green will be signed after they make an offer to Aldridge. His cap hold is far less than his new salary would be. Aldridge contract is signed first which allows the Spurs to then go over the cap to re-sign their own players.Chicat wrote:But they just signed Danny Green. Thats a great deal. Right at market value and the Suns have an awesome rotation at C now. Only concern is health between the two.Main Event wrote: smh
Dont think anyone is really that sold on this next draft class and McDonough knew this was his plan when he traded that pick.MrBug708 wrote:Lakers wont be able to do anything. That trade for the Knight might not be that great as the pick could be a top 5 pick again
Big win for the Clippers as he's slotted for the tax payer's MLE, which means Jordan is re-signing.84Cat wrote:Hmm, Paul Pierce to the Clippers.
Correction thanks to JMark pointing out my accounting error on the other forum.TucsonClip wrote:Suns can now sign Chandler and Aldridge outright.

They should sit pretty and offer Markieff and 1sts to Cleveland for Love now that he's locked up.84Cat wrote:Spurs crush the Suns again. What is the Suns game plan now?
Pick 12th in 2016 draft84Cat wrote:Spurs crush the Suns again. What is the Suns game plan now?
The Suns scream locked into mediocrity for all eternity. The roster doesn't suck, but won't win a playoff series, and doesn't really have much chance of changing fortunes for the time being.84Cat wrote:Spurs crush the Suns again. What is the Suns game plan now?
That's cool. I thought it was a weird PM topic, but I don't like the Spurs either.JMarkJohns wrote:I hate the Spurs. Hate them.

On the left side of screen under each post profile there's a "PM" function.Spaceman Spiff wrote:That's cool. I thought it was a weird PM topic, but I don't like the Spurs either.JMarkJohns wrote:I hate the Spurs. Hate them.

I hate the Spurs too so I feel your pain. I only hate the Celtics worse and that's damn close. They have quite a team now though, it's gonna be hell of a year with them, the Warriors and Cavs next year. And Thunder too I guess. But 3 of their main guys are old as shiiiit and Aldridge is also on the wrong side of 30 when the season begins. They need a lot more to go their way than the other 2 teams I think.JMarkJohns wrote:I hate the Spurs. Hate them.

They can rest Duncan until the playoffs. A lineup of Duncan, Aldridge, Leonard, Green and Parker is really good come playoffs. If Manu returns, they have some depth and could match the Warriors small ball lineups better.KOQSTRONG wrote:I hate the Spurs too so I feel your pain. Manu is indeed returning for one more go, announced it yesterday or day before.Spaceman Spiff wrote:They can rest Duncan until the playoffs. It may not be enough to take it home, but it gives them a fighting chance.
Hadn't seen that. Thanks!pokinmik wrote:Manu is indeed returning for one more go, announced it yesterday or day before.Spaceman Spiff wrote:They can rest Duncan until the playoffs. Can potentially save the Warriors ~$25+ mil in luxury taxes if they stretch Wallace.Coop Cat wrote:Seems like a good deal for the Celtics. Have always like Lee and his game:
Lee was a spare part for the Warriors too. He handled the demotion well, but I'm sure he wanted out.TucsonClip wrote:Can potentially save the Warriors ~$25+ mil in luxury taxes if they stretch Wallace.Coop Cat wrote:Seems like a good deal for the Celtics. Have always like Lee and his game:
Ainge pulled one off on the Wolves with the KG trade, and he's basically spent the rest of his career trying to recapture that magic without success.rgdeuce wrote:Thanks Danny. All of the mid to late first rounders in the world aren't going to help this team. Always fun to be a 7 or 8 in the putrid east and get swept and then watch guys like Stanley and Winslow still available at 8 in the draft.
Our tipster, Paul, attended a bachelor party at The Strand House in Manhattan Beach, Calif., last Friday, and just so happened to find himself in close proximity to another group that included Mark Cuban, Chandler Parsons, Richard Jefferson, Blake Griffin, and Spencer Hawes. All of these people were in the club together just a few hours after news had broken that DeAndre Jordan was signing with the Mavericks.
Blake Griffin and Cuban then got in a heart to heart talk. Here are links to two videos that I took while pretending to be on my phone while they were having a fairly intense conversation.
My theory on this is that Mark Cuban told Blake Griffin why Deandre chose the Mavericks over the Clippers during his drunk, overconfidently filled rant. Blake then took that information and passed it on to the Clippers organization which gave them inside info on what to say to get Deandre back.
Chandler Parsons could have also disclosed some information to Blake as well but, it’s just funnier and more likely that Drunk Mark Cuban did it.
