Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

You can’t find Washington on Nike’s website in team apparel. There are only 31 teams available. The Washington Racists are the only team left out.

Good job Nike.

Dan Snyder is way too much of a total shitstain to actually do something good for the fans, the NFL, and the country.

I bet he doubles down by adding “Drunken” before “Redskins”.

Someone suggested Pigskins, keeping all politics out of it, and that way they can keep the 'Skins nickname.

Not sure how I feel about the Redtails. I truly think it's fantastic that they want to honor the Tuskogee Airmen, but eventually people may tire of images of war, and not sure what the relationship is of DC is to them. Used to be that team names had relationships to the city where they were based. Minnesota (land of 1000) Lakers, New Orleans Jazz, San Francisco 49ers, Brooklyn (streetcar) Dodgers, Houston Astros, Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay (meat) Packers and so on.

They want it to have a 'military theme'?

Maybe they'll go for 'Buffalo Soldiers'.

That would confuse everybody on every level.

I want them to change their name to the Washington Pigskins.

1. Their owner is a pig
2. Still retain part of the old name without offending anyone (unless PETA members I suppose)

There are almost 2 billion people in the world who think pigs are unclean, although fitting for Washington.

Someone pointed out to me that European soccer largely doesn’t have mascots and team names. It’s not the Manchester United Wildcats.

It blew my mind that that’s an American thing.
