Re: 2021 Los Angeles Rams
I’ve read or watched literally 15 different articles/videos breaking down why the Bengals will win and cannot find any on why the Rams will take home the trophy.
I literally feel sick thinking about this game. By noon Sunday I’ll be hyperventilating.

Re: 2021 Los Angeles Rams
Ahhh…let me teach you the rules of telepathic, transcendental thread jinxing.
It only applies to “in-game” threads where the game looks to be going a certain way and you say so-and-so is winning or losing in which you want that team to win or lose.
Pre-game feelings and predictions, as long as you don’t use the word “guarantee” are acceptable.

Re: 2021 Los Angeles Rams
Ok I woke up this morning and now I’m nervous as shit.
Oh, and I’m not watching the game with any family or friends, especially my father-in-law who likes to make comments after every play.
Need a Cats win later today to calm me down a little.

This is why it’s great to be a Bears and Cardinals fan… you never have to worry about the outcome of Super Bowl

Tonight's Superbowl menu: Nachos and guacamole.
I'm making a nacho cheese sauce following Julia Child's recipe for a mornay sauce and mixing in chipotles with adobo.
Each person gets a bowl of local Tucson Alejandro's tortilla chips covered in the chipotle cheese sauce, sliced carne asada, and sliced jalapeños, with a big scoop of guacamole.
I've cc'd my physician Dr. Sanchez on this post and I'm naming the dish after her. Nachos Sanchez.
Go Rams!!!!!!

Love that Dr. Longbottom! (as my wife still calls you).
We are doing Make Your Own Pizzas and appetizers early so no one has to cook during the game. Someone just needs to pop them in the oven around halftime and collect them when the timer dings.

Same! But Taco Works chips out of San Luis Obispo.
And avocadoes off my trees.
Go Rams! As a long time Lions sufferer, hopefully Stafford does well. Also always root for California teams for obvious reasons. Niners would have been fine too.

As I said we are doing Cincinnati chili as an offering to the jinx God’s.
I’m getting nervous as I really want this one. Been thinking about going to Rams games with my dad at the Coliseum back in the Haden, Harris, McCutchen, Dryer, Olsen, etc.. days when we had season tickets.

I don't make offerings to the jinx gods since that orange shirt I wore in 2005.
I also stopped pouring beer offerings down the sink. It worked against Duke in 2009, but it's just been lost beer with no returns ever since.

My dad took me to 6 out of 8 games a year from ‘83 to ‘88. One he took my sister to, and the other he was on call at the hospital. The others were just me and him. And it was incredible.EastCoastCat wrote: ↑Sun Feb 13, 2022 1:46 pm As I said we are doing Cincinnati chili as an offering to the jinx God’s.

He was taken from me way too young. But I’m going to pretend we are watching together tonight.

Bourbon Maple wings, Lemon Pepper Wings, Spinach Artichoke dip, potato salad, pizza (for the kids), pigs in a blanket, mozzarella sticks.
Might become a Rams fan, but don't want my stank of fandom to taint them just yet.

It feels fucking great. Congrats for those long toiling LA Rams fans that had to wait so long for this day to come (like you and me).
Savor the victory!
Now let’s get another championship in March.

Thanks Ari. I think playing in the toughest division in football helped with their resiliency, which they sure needed tonight.

Because of the past, the present, and what I want for the future.
I know it seems silly to think of football as that important, but when I think of my dad, and my kids… well, it is that important.

I hear ya brother. When our families storage stuff arrived last month it meant all my LA family ties (parents, brother, house) were gone. It made me really depressed.Chicat wrote: ↑Sun Feb 13, 2022 8:45 pmNot sure about you, but I needed this.EastCoastCat wrote: ↑Sun Feb 13, 2022 8:41 pmIt feels fucking great. This win was a shot in the arm as the Rams were my first professional team love. Also thought about Sunday’s at the Colisseum with my Dad.
Enjoy the night…I’m breaking out the 18 year old Macallan!

I never really got my Rams fandom back like I thought I would when they moved back, but I definitely connected with my childhood tonight. I grabbed my kid and made her watch it with me.

Good thing AD got to Burrow because if you see the overhead shot of that play Ramsey had fallen down and Chase was streaking down the sideline open.

That's probably why JB held the ball that extra half second instead of dumping it off to the RB for the first down.EastCoastCat wrote: ↑Mon Feb 14, 2022 4:13 pm Good thing AD got to Burrow because if you see the overhead shot of that play Ramsey had fallen down and Chase was streaking down the sideline open.

Re: 2021 Los Angeles Rams
I wonder if Ramsey played hurt. He was pretty average the second half of the season.
The alternative is that he’s lost a step and the Rams need to develop young corners so they can move him into a S/LB hybrid role.

Re: 2021 Los Angeles Rams
Stafford is getting heat for his (drunken) reaction but I once did the same (really drunk) thing when I watched a girl walk through a glass door at a UA house party.
I had literally the exact same reaction. Cringed then fled. The difference being that the girl I saw was covered in blood. My drunk ass brain couldn’t handle it and noped the fuck on out immediately.
I should have helped her and to this day feel like a total piece of shit. I’m sure Matt probably feels the same and wishes he could have that moment to do again.

Also, it’s not like he’s an EMT plus other people rushed to her rescue.
