Re: Chicago Bears
Ted Phillips wasn’t part of the announcement this morning so many Bears fans are hopeful he’s on his way out too.
Clean slate needed.
Clean slate needed.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Re: Chicago Bears
Talk radio has been pretty unanimous that they should have gotten a QB guru (AKA a guy like Shanahan).

Everything sucks with the Bears… except Dick Butkus on twitter… he is hilarious.. a must follow!
Re: Chicago Bears
question for the Bears faithful
seems to be a mantra going around from the front office and certainly a direct message being sent to Bears fans that the team (more specifically the quarterback) has been set-up for success due to the shrewd moves made by Bears ownership during the off-season and into the draft.
it reads to me as odd and curious pressure to openly and willingly put such expectations and unneeded pressure on a young signal caller heading into his second year, but thats just my opinion.
"We're all in...we're going to set him up to succeed"
if he (Fields) has great success it was what he should of done, the organization set him up to succeed....and if he doesnt, well we did all we could and he still didnt succeed.
kinda chicken shit, non productive, and unnecessary if ya ask me....
does:
Equanimeous St. Brown
Velus Jones Jr.
Byron Pringle
Darnell Mooney
David Montgomery
Cole Kemet
make you warm and fuzzy about Justin Fields chances to succeed as a second year quarterback? apparently it makes the Bears front office feel good....good luck, Justin either way its your fault!

Re: Chicago Bears
No one in Chicago sees the Bears moves as particularly shrewd. In fact, most fans know this team has bottom-5 level talent even after the draft.97cats wrote: ↑Mon May 09, 2022 11:16 am question for the Bears faithful

There are no expectations for this year. I think most people just want to see what Fields can do and they are hoping they get a full season out of him and no major injuries.

That would have been the Rams line for last year.

Re: Chicago Bears
Yeah, the Rams went all in. And kept going all in throughout the year (OBJ & Von Miller).
The Bears haven’t done shit.

That may be the worst defensive play I have ever seen.
