I'm guessing they had some in-house junior person make that. If they farmed it out to an agency they would have asked for a 60 day turnaround. Maybe they could have pushed it to 30, but they'd have wanted to do some focus group tests and provided multiple options.
So in all likelihood they asked Sally the jn-house junior marketing assistant who took a couple graphic design classes at CSUN to mock something up quickly and there you have your really shitty logo. They probably pay her $34k and she probably spent two hours on it, soooooooo about $50 all in.

probably a while. a good 5 years at least with the new stadium coming. if either actual goes to the playoffs or gets better then they'll be the top ticket in LA.
