Re: Nick Foles
Sucks. Really wanted the Eagles to win this week for Foles. Was over him beating my Bears after a half hour or so. Too bad he is teammates with Michael Bennett though. Makes it really hard to cheer for the Eagles.

Re: Nick Foles
I appreciate the sentiment, but Nick would need an OL, a couple of receivers, and a defense that knew how to get the ball back on into his hands. Otherwise he'll just fade away like he did at his previous stints.CalStateTempe wrote:I would love it if the cards signed Foles.

It's long past time to bring this back to the court, let's do it with a small update:
Re: Nick Foles
That's a lot of money at the QB spot between Foles and Wentz.

Unless Philly franchises him, which I doubt they would unless Wentz was going to miss significant time next season.UAEebs86 wrote:Nick bought out his contract and is now a free agent.

I heard that they agreed to franchise him ($25 million) so they can trade him. Re: Nick Foles
I think so too. His ability to get the ball out of his hand quickly will alleviate some of the pass blocking issues they had, plus he doesn’t turn the ball over like Bortles did. Good defense + Leonard Fournette means he’s got a good opportunity to be successful.Alieberman wrote:My first ever sports prediction that was actually correct!Chicat wrote:You nailed it Ari. Nick Foles’ wife, Tori Foles, is sick with a dual diagnosis of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome and Lyme disease. What are these illnesses and what problems do they cause the spouse of the Philadelphia Eagles starting quarterback?
Tori Foles wrote a lengthy blog post about the ailments for a site called The Increase Women. Although she described some of the challenges caused by the health problems, she also credited them with reinforcing her family’s faith. Tori, and the couple’s only daughter, Lily, who was born in June 2017, were captured on camera at Super Bowl 2018 cheering Nick Foles on.

And he led this comeback even with 2 potential TD's that his receivers screwed up which gave the ball back to the Falcons. One when the corner stole the ball away in the end zone for an interception and the other was a 4th drown drop in the end zone.
Amazing.

Foles is nails, but the Bears cannot keep expecting him to throw the ball 40+ times a game and win consistently.

Yea he isn't that kind of quarterback. He's good but that's asking for eventual bad decisions.
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.

I’m not worried about his decision-making. His mental acuity and poise is off the charts.ASUHATER! wrote:Yea he isn't that kind of quarterback. He's good but that's asking for eventual bad decisions.
But his arm strength is subpar and he can’t really throw guys open so he needs the o-line to hold blocks for 5, 6, 7 seconds and the Bears don’t have those guys. So unless they want a bunch of 6 yard passes they need to establish a running game.
Foles is at his best in play action. There’s no play action if you can’t establish the run.

running attack was 25 for 63 with a TD (Foles being his big ass self on the TD)

Bears the the worst offensive line in the NFL. Nick is a tough dude but you knew he was gonna get injured sooner or later with all the hits he gets put through. I've never seen a line straight whiff on blocking so many defenders game after game after game.
I'm just glad the injury wasn't more severe (at least it doesnt seem too bad given reports today, hopefully further testing doesnt reveal more damage).
