This happened to the Suns once, back in 1978 I believe for a rodeo I think.

Just saw this UAEebs. Yes, I was at that game. I thought it was '79. They moved us to ASU and mapped out the rough equivalent of everyone's seating assignment at Veterans Memorial Coliseum. We played the Kansas City Kings in a tight one. Sam Lacie lost his cool against Alvan Adams and almost got thrown out of the game.
I remember my dad pointing at the court and telling me I'm going to be playing there some day for ASU. What a schmuck. He had every genetic indicator that I was going to grow up to be a slow, 5' 10" man with small hands. But it reminds me how ASU-oriented our household was. Going to U of A was a real act of defiance for me.
