Venezuela may be down 2-0 at the half to Argentina, but they definitely have had their chances. They hit the post, completely choked on a penalty kick, and a couple great saves by Argentina's goaltender. Venezuela dominated the last 10 minutes of the 1st half. Also Gaitan is out for the next match with because of 2 yellow cards.

6-0 Being embarrassed happens in sports, but being a professional and giving up is inexcusable. I can't respect a team who acts this way.

This is the worst Mexico loss since 1961. Second worst loss ever. They ought to be thankful that they called they mercifully called the game after 90 minutes with no injury time. Then it could have been the worst loss ever. Brazil lost big during the World Cup in 2014 but against much better competition. Mexico sucks!

Germany is not "much better" than Chile. Chile won Copa last year and has arguably the best central midfielder on the planet - who was operating at about a 12 out of 10 yesterday. Argentina/Chile final is going to be a really fun game.

Well that's what real football looks like.

Damn. Just passing/slicing/chipping us to death in the first four minutes leading to the goal.

Jurgy should be fired for continuing to call up Wondo and Beckerman.

When Bradley is off, he's very bad

I'm ok with going in another direction as far as Jurgy goes. And that feeling has nothing to do with this tournaments results or specifically this games results.

It feels like its been a while now, like I remember him being good (or at least ok) in WC 2014 but the two years since generally he's been pretty poor.

A very wild and crazy match. Both teams have a player who received a red card. Not even the end of the first half and both teams are ready to brawl.

Second half is going to be very interesting with both of these talented, offensive teams having more space with each down a man. Probably favors Argentina (might even significantly favor Argentina), but should be wild.

He actually isn't very good at PKs. Martino shouldn't have had him kick early.

Also he needs to be a man, come back and finally win one. Difficult things aren't easy to accomplish. Never quit!
