He was heckling the other golfers from the crowd, golfers called him out to put up or shut up. Rory added some money to make things interesting and the heckler sank the putt.

The way I understand is McIlroy and Sullivan were trying to make a certain putt and kept missing. A fan said he could make it. Stenson asked who said that and Johnson (fan) said he could make it. Stenson pulled him out of the crowd and then Rose putt up $100. Johnson proceeded to make the putt and collect the $100. What a great story.

Did I read they basically flipped 5 or 6 holes to make the course even tougher? Swapped the Green and Fairways?
"The Ryder Cup will use holes 1-4 and 14-18 for the front nine at Hazeltine, and then 10 through 13 and five through nine for the back. The par 5 seventh and par 3 eighth over water will have plenty of drama and room for spectators—which is just what the PGA of America was looking for."
I am going to be glued to the TV all weekend

There was some talk (conspiracy theory) that they switched the holes around where there would be more room around the finishing holes for corporate tents.

Early morning football or Ryder Cup and I went right to golf. Matches today are 2-2 with the USA having a slim lead in one of those matched

Damn more Sergio magic. His team was down 4 with 6 to go and he comes back to earn a half point. Can't make a putt in a major but get him in the Ryder Cup and he can't miss.
Going to be a dog fight now with the USA up 6.5 to 5.5. Need a 3-1 afternoon

Reed was an animal in the afternoon. Speith ride him as he made 7 birdies and 1 eagle for the win. Phil was tough coming home and the US takes a 9.5 to 6.5 lead going into singles matches tomorrow.
No need to remind everyone else that the last time we were on home soil it was 10-6 going into Sunday and we found a way to lose. Time to finish

Nothing better than the Ryder Cup, including football. I hope Reed can find a way to beat Rory. That would make for a great story

17 birdies between them going into 18 all even. Both of them split the fairway on 18.
How thrilling would it be to attend a Ryder Cup? Has to be a bucket list event

The cup is ours, the cup is ours. Now we need to bring the territorial cup back home this year

Phil makes 10 birdies and he and Sergio both shoot a 63, very impressive. I want the USA hat they wore yesterday, pretty sweet.

Incredible that a 9 under round only gets you a half a point

Ok big man, let's take it easy...
I can name a bunch of events I'd rather watch than the most exciting golf tourney, starting with the first four days of the NCAA tourney...

Well then it's up there. The NCAA comes around every year but the Ryder Cup is only in the states every 4 years but I do agree, it's hard to top the tourney.
USA shot 117 under this week as a team. That is just incredible. I thought it was telling to hear Bubba Watson say that this has been his greatest accomplishment in golf, even as a vice captain and not playing.

Patrick and Rory on the front 9 was beyond anything I had ever seen before. Both players at the top of their game. Phil and Sergio was incredible as expected. Koepka and Pieters solidified their spots as well.
Any US interviews this morning? I want to hear how hung over these guys are.
Rickie after the win

Where did you see this? I wish they would post the actual scorecards on this event. I found this in an article:
"All in all, seven eagles and a staggering 282 birdies were made on the weekend. Over the 28 matches played, the United States won 117 holes, while Europe won just 104."

I think they don't publish score cards because a hole isn't always finished. Speith chipped into the bunker on one hole and just told Stenson to just pick it up conceding the hole.
