The Muricans have their work cut out for them. Big underdogs this year.

So, Reed and Spieth dominate 5 & 4 but are not playing in the afternoon matches. Of course, why send out your hottest team again. I don't care if a schedule was set ahead of time in order to get everyone playing on day 1 (if that was the case). This isn't little league where everyone gets a participation trophy, this is the Ryder Cup that I think USA would like to win. I thought/hoped that Watson would be better than this.

Tom Watson has forgotten more about golf in the last five minutes than I'll ever know, but the USA Ryder Cup captain did what Friday?
Well, for starters, he ended the morning four-ball session with a 2 ½ -1 ½ lead. So far, so good.
But then Watson made a curious decision. He benched the two guys who had stuck a very large American fork into the European team of Steven Gallacher and Mr. Ryder Cup himself, Ian Poulter. Huh?
"Obviously you're going to second guess me on that decision right there," said Watson at day's end.
"I was 100 percent certain we were going back out," said Spieth.
Surprise!
"They were very upset with me for not playing them this afternoon," said Watson. "I said, `I know you're going to be mad at me, but you'll be playing [Saturday] for sure.'"
"I thought at the time it was the best decision not to play them," said Watson.
Fair enough. But what were the reasons for the decision?
"I won't go into those," he said.
Huh? squared.
And Spieth's understanding that the morning results would determine the afternoon pairings?
"I take the blame for that," said Watson.
"I could barely breathe on the first tee," said Reed, who was the first to hit. "I didn't know if I could pull [the club] back."
The captain might have very well have lost the Ryder Cup for the USA on Friday afternoon. Oh......and Furyk gets to play again on Saturday morning. You can almost chalk up a loss right there.

Saturday Morning 4 ball
J. Rose / H. Stenson vs. B. Watson / M. Kuchar
J. Donaldson / L. Westwood vs. J. Furyk / H. Mahan
T. Bjorn / M. Kaymer vs. P. Reed / J. Spieth
R. Mcilroy / I. Poulter vs. J. Walker / R. Fowler
That last match should be really good.

So I stay up tonight to watch some Ryder Cup only to find out that I can only watch this "Alternate Shot" coverage on Golf Channel with other coverage not starting until after Seth Meyers on NBC y then I am not sure if that is live or not. Not a very happy golf fan right now between this BS y the tons of commercials.
Side Note: David Duval is pretty good on TV. Would not be surprised to see him in a tower at some point in the future on CBS, NBC, or FOX.
Side Note II: Hey, Golf Channel.....flip the size of your boxes. Can barely see the action!!
Side Note III: Why the F are Wadkins and Leonard wearing BLUE ties on this BS coverage?????
Side Note IV: The sweaters with large american flag are no better than the sweaters with the Ryder Cup on the front. So far, Europe wins the outfit war.

Well that sucked. A lot of anger directed towards Watson.
Glued to the TV all weekend, fun to watch but we really need to win it in '16 in Minnesota. I almost went with a buddy this year, glad we didnt
