Ah yes, those traditional cold weather hockey meccas...
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Yeah, I always wish for at least one "traditional" team. Not necessarily The Original Six (hard to believe there were only six teams from the origination of the NHL for 25 years until the 1967 expansion.) I tend to include the Blues, Penguins, and Flyers from that expansion of six more teams as honorary members of the traditional club. I don't include the LA Kings or Oakland Seals, but it's interesting that the other team was the Minnesota North Stars. I kinda/sorta accepted them, since that's hockey country. So I guess the Stars are as close as you get to anything like tradition, but I don't accept the Star of Texas as being anything like the North Star on a cold winter night. I've always wondered why more Upper Midwest cities wouldn't support NHL hockey. Cleveland folded two years after the Seals moved there. Milwaukee has had a minor league franchise in the Admirals forever, but I guess they have more of a cult following.

In any event, the TV schedule for the first four games of the Finals is as follows (Tucson time):

4:30 Saturday NBC
5:00 Monday NBCS
5:00 Wednesday NBCS
5:00 Friday NBC

OT last night, (at least) double OT tonight. On NBC right now.

Weird seeing them play 2 nights in a row but no travel day I guess.

Tampa takes the cup with a goal being up 3-1.
