Bryce is 0-11. You know daddy isn't going to tell him to stop shooting, so expect him to finish 3-15.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Dead on balls accurate Chi. Ends regulation 3-15. Alford I have to say is nails in crunch time. That was a great shot

Just a great second half and OT's. Terrible in the first half but epic in the second. Andrews vs Alford. Big shot after big shot. Romar's freshman class looks very productive

Romar's sytle makes you play ugly and UCLA loves playing ugly and lost
Re: Pac-12 game thread
Amazing how much more fun the game became when the refs stopped calling fouls every minute.
Gutty win by Washington. This is going to be one crazy Pac 12 season.

Opportunities missed by UCLA and Utah. Backcourt of Murray and Fultz for UW next year.
That USC backcourt looks good.

Right where I want to be.
Re: Pac-12 game thread
Going to he tough playing on the road pretty much everywhere. Especially as Arizona since we're the only team that plays in sold out arenas.
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.
i'll just go with fuck asu.

I watched the first eight minutes of this game and couldn't make myself watch any more.AZCatGirl wrote:This UCLA/Washington game is almost unwatchable. Both teams look like shit, and no one can get into a rhythm with all these fouls being called. Hope the bench players are ready to play a good amount of minutes.
We know UCLA's issues, but for those that kept watching the game did UW continue to look as horrible as they did in the first eight? I think when I turned the game UW was shooting about 30% from the field and it looks like they finished at about 36% on 29/80 shooting.

Pac-12 looks like we are back to trying to win out at home, hoping to split on the road.

Re: Pac-12 game thread
UCLA is not a very well coached team. Couldn't believe how many poor decisions they made and still managed to almost win.
You know, though, that any problems they have will magically disappear on Thursday.
Here's hoping Zeus can play slightly more minutes and that we can get at least a split in L.A. That USC game won't be easy.

Re: Pac-12 game thread
Tony Parker looked bored and lost half the time. Zero coaching sense from UCLA in getting everyone on the same page. Washington had a big advantage when it came to out-teamworking UCLA.

Re: Pac-12 game thread
Pretty big game today for Utah at Cal considering Utah has already lost it's first game of the weekend at Stanford. Hopefully that gives them so extra motivation and helps them knock off the Bears.
Re: Pac-12 game thread
Is USC actually better than UCLA this year? For a change, I"m glad ASU has to face them first next week.CatsbyAZ wrote:Tony Parker looked bored and lost half the time. USC taking it to UW 66-48
Re: Pac-12 game thread
USC is improved... But they lost to the only tournament level team they've played. They have barely played a team with a pulse this year.

Re: Pac-12 game thread
UW did not look like a good team to me when I watched part of their UCLA game. Basically in UW I saw some reasonably athletic guys none of which seem to particularly be able to shoot. I think they shot 36% against the defensive juggernaut that is UCLA and today looks like they're shooting around 33% against USC.84Cat wrote:USC taking it to UW 66-48
Really I could see them shooting in the 30s for all field goals for the totality of the PAC season. And if they do that they're 8/9/10 in the league.

Re: Pac-12 game thread
USC basketball pulled an Oregon football. Though at least with USC they're not used to these types of games.

Oregon State is taking it to Oregon. They look really good, especially Payton. Is Payton good enough to be an all-american?

The Fox Sports guys doing the UA/ASU game sure think so. Only player in the PAC (country?) leading his team in points, rebounds, and assists.Catintheheat wrote:Oregon State is taking it to Oregon. They look really good, especially Payton. Is Payton good enough to be an all-american?

I am really impressed with Chris Boucher of Oregon. He seems to have a good all-around game. He is giving Oregon a slim chance to come back.

How many years has a Schaftenaar brother been at Oregon State? It seems like it is going on ten years!

Hes a damn good player. UCLA having a tough time w WSU too. 0-2 start would be cool

Utah and UCLA go 0-2 this weekend. Never would've guessed that.

UCLA is 4-14 in their last 18 in Heck Ed while Alford hasn't won in Pullman. We just aren't a good team and are especially horrible on the road.AZCatGirl wrote:Utah and UCLA go 0-2 this weekend. Never would've guessed that.

I'm sure the Bruins will be at their best Thursday against Arizona. Last year's games were without a doubt the toughest for Arizona, even though they won both meetings.

UCLA will be just fine on Thursday.

Re: Pac-12 game thread
What a crappy crowd for Oregon vs. a legit Cal team. Is the new arena really that big a turnoff? The Dux used to draw well at the old Pit. What happened to their fanbase? Did the sex assault scandal kill interest? I don't get it, especially after they had a pretty impressive season a year ago considering the circumstances.

I do not like Cal, at least this year. Their heads (the fans) are compressed and they need to be brought back down to earth.

Many older fans do not like the new arena.carolinacat wrote:...What happened to their fanbase? Did the sex assault scandal kill interest? I don't get it, especially after they had a pretty impressive season a year ago considering the circumstances.
The sordid sex scandal turned many others off.
Fans have a difficult time identifying with the short term (transfer) players.
Re: Pac-12 game thread
Neither team is playing like it. If they'd just pretend they're playing us we'd have a much better game I bet.Bangkok Wildcat wrote:We are looking at the two teams that will challenge us for the P12 title IMO. Can't wait to play these guys!
