If we poach Dutcher, do we get Bradley?
Arizona State might have the most surprisingly anemic history in men's basketball of any program that you might think is better than it is.

Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
If only texas would have won their first game shaka might not have bolted.
If we would not have self inflicted a post season ban, we would have disrupted the seedings enough so Abiline Christian didn't face texas, therefore shaka wins a few, stays at texas, we poach beard. Obvs.
It's all the administrations fault.

While I don't want a scummy, I'll gladly take a turncoat scummy. Maybe we can hang James Harden's jersey, too. "I retrospectively transfer the memory of my college career to Arizona!"

Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
He put out a video saying he was leaving to pursue the NBA 4 days ago, that must not have went well. Also, in that video I found it odd when he said "I want to thank the donors for making my experience the best possible." I am not a fan of Remy, but he definitely has some skills.
ASU is completely reloading with 4 D1 transfers who all averaged 15 points or more last season and Enoch Boakye. They have 10 guys who actively chose to leave this year, obviously something is wrong in Tempe. I really hope they don't fire Hurley, as an Arizona fan I love the guy up there. So easy to hate and not because he is good at his job.

Remy has a usage rate of just under 30 the last two years and his career eFG% is below average. Good luck to him...

Was just reading the portal is a fallback for the nba. Don't see him getting drafted so he'll probably end up at a big time school. Could see Remy at Kentucky or UNCgronk4heisman wrote: ↑Tue May 11, 2021 10:36 am He put out a video saying he was leaving to pursue the NBA 4 days ago, that must not have went well. What a sh*t show ASU has been lately. Huge expectations, piss-poor results.TucsonClip wrote: ↑Tue May 11, 2021 10:39 am Remy has a usage rate of just under 30 the last two years and his career eFG% is below average. Good luck to him...

One of the worst basketball programs in recorded history.

He should have stayed at WSU. Had a chance to be a local legend.

Seems to have underwhelming numbers for someone so tall.
Reid was the only 32-game starter for the Tigers, averaging 6.3 points and 4.3 rebounds while playing 19.6 minutes per contest.

Oregon just got a commitment from a wildly inefficient soon-to-be 24 year old and I'm loving it.

Appreciate that Nowell hung in there. I believe he was the only recruit that didn't bail when Sean was fired.

Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
He already transferred once. Not sure how he expected to get a waiver after ditching the Wildcats after 7 games since it wasn't due to injury.
Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
Michigan's dependable big man Hunter Dickinson enters the transfer portal. Through three years in Ann Arbor his numbers are very productive: 14.1 pts/7.4 rbs (Fr), 18.6 pts/8.6 rbs (So), and 18.5 pts/9.0 rbs (Jr). Can't think of who wouldn't want this guy as a Senior on their roster. He's from Virginia so I imagine UVA and VT will call. Rumor has it he wasn't happy with Juwan Howard's underwhelming player development. Wants to go somewhere that can give him a shot at progressing to the NBA. He can shoot outside, so I imagine Gonzaga might be a place he'll feel out considering his is a skill set they've been able to develop into NBA draft picks. Realistically his pro future is overseas.

Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
He’s a bit overrated in my book. Watched several UM games as my daughter goes there. Gets in foul trouble and wasn’t that impressive defensively. Streaky shooter too but can knock down the 3.
For me, no thanks. We have priority positions to fill.

The Athletic ranks "the best players available right now" in the Transfer Portal - Dickerson is #1

1. Hunter Dickinson | 7-1 Center | Two years of eligibility | Michigan
Dickinson is arguably the most accomplished player to ever hit the transfer portal. He was a second-team All-American as a freshman and has been one of the best bigs in college basketball in his three seasons at Michigan. He’s coming off a season in which he averaged 18.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks. You can build an entire offense around him. He’s always been a beast as a low-post scorer. He used to be all right shoulder, but now he can go over either and even has a right jump hook. Where he really progressed last season is stepping away from the basket. He made 24 3-pointers at a 42.1 percent clip. He shot 44 percent on all jump shots, per Synergy. He can play the pick-and-pop game, can initiate dribble hand-off action and also back down his man from the perimeter. He’s a really good passer and has great hands. He’s just a highly-skilled, highly-intelligent player who also knows how to use his massive body. His limitations are on the defensive end. He has no problem near the basket and knows how to stay out of foul trouble — he commits just 2.3 fouls per 40 minutes — but where he’s vulnerable is in space. But he has good feet for a man of his size and you’ll live with that limitation considering he’s so good in every other area of the game. This is a player who could win National Player of the Year in the right system.

Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
He and Ballo on the court would be great on offense but potentially a nightmare on defense. Teams would spread us out and not sure how they would defend a smaller 5 out line up

I feel like success in the transfer portal is now more important than getting a good recruiting class.
