Did someone neglect to tell Michigan State this game counts?
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Maybe they got James Madison Dukes mixed up with the actual Duke and are just happy the game is close.

Alford's Nevada Wolf Pack defeat UW 83-76. Nevada could be a sleeper in the Mountain West. Hopkins has talent but can do nothing with it.

Looking forward to tonight's games: Duke/Michigan State and Kentucky/Kansas. Marquette/Illinois isn't too shabby either. I am also looking forward to the Maui Invitational (next week). Great traditional teams. I have no idea how that will play out.

After Duke/MSU, one will be a LOSER (2 losses), which will affect our SOS, at least in the short term.

Michigan State sucks right now. AI like Izzo and they are capable of throwing Duke unbalanced, but they suck, at least right now. I am not in truth with either team right now. But that can be expected in the OOC.

My thoughts on the Michigan State game is they are going to be hard to beat. They will not shoot this bad going forward. They are an experienced team and will figure it out quickly. It should be noted that a Duke freshman had 18 points (couldn't miss) and against us he had zero because he didn't take a shot. Both teams are going to develop as they go on as we will too.

Really! Foster's pure shooting reminded my of "Rocket Rod" Foster from UCLA in the early '80's...

No 'Cat fan should forget that Arizona beat KU at Allen Fieldhouse in 2005 (mid-season), then lost to them in the NCAA's a couple of months later.

The difference between early season and post-season can be tremendous. CTL's teams, like Lute's teams, are really good out-of-the-gate. But improvement, luck, injuries, etc. all play a big roll in the post-season.

It is even more fundamental than that. Other teams will continue to develop. Was very surprised at the Duke freshman who basically won the game for them. The other thing about Michigan State is they will run so take the over.

Should be a great game today (11/20) at two on ESPN 2. Purdue vs Gonzaga. We will see how good Purdue is against a style that is similar to our own. Number 2 vs 11.

From CJ Moore of The Atlantic:
I’m in Honolulu this week for the greatest November MTE of all time: the Maui Invitational. The field includes four of the top five teams in this poll. Whoever wins the tournament is No. 1 here next week. I don’t care what else happens around the country. Arizona could beat Michigan State by 50 on Thanksgiving, and I’m not budging off that promise.
This is complete bullshit by the way. Arizona already has a better victory than any neutral floor tourney can produce and would have backed that up by taking down one of the best programs year-in and year-out in the nation.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

If Kansas wins the Maui, they remain #1. If Purdue wins it, they move up to #1. None of the other teams can leapfrog AZ, provided we are still undefeated on Monday.

This game is giving me more hope for our game against Purdue.
Our backcourt is better and we have bigs for days, and we have Keshad. They don't have a Keshad. That's a big deal.

I think our best beats their best by 12.
Probability we see either of those, let alone both of them, is low.

Zags got tired and couldn't hit from outside. Nemby had a shooting night we hope not to see from Love. Zags are handsy on D and play good position D but they aren't as physical as Purdue. I wonder if the refs will let us foul Edey the way they let the Zags foul him. I wonder if our bigs will be mauled without a whistle.
