HD is one of the most overrated NCAA players of the past 5-10 years. Michigan didn't win anything while he was there, and I'm not sure why his addition to KU makes them a strong contender.

With all that money he can’t get hair plugs like a modern man?

They should have given that to the football coach. There’s a guy that can coach and build.

Not sure how that works. Says he will make $13M this year but only $53M over five. Does it drop to $10M after this year? This is not a lifetime contract. Kentucky has a real lifetime contract (Cal has a job even if he is not coaching). It is an automatic 5 year rollover if he is winning from what I read the last time they announced he had a lifetime contract and when it was stipulated they couldn't fire him for the last Kansas violation.

But MBB looks like it may be losing money with that contract.

Going yo need to examine ticket prices at the Phog and their football pricing. They have fewer sellouts the us in football I think and a smaller average attendance

Hunter played well last night against a deplete front court of KU. Doesn't have a lot of lift and had his shot blocked a few times. Did grab 20+rebounds which is good against anyone.

I have just two words to put Hunter in his proper place:

Boy that Bill Self is a classy guy. Calling Shaka Smart a liar is just his typical classy behavior.

It started because a Kansas player talked shit to Shaka after a made 3, emulating his coach’s classy behavior.
Was it accurate that Smart’s team beat Self’s by 14 in a game where Kansas wasn’t really competitive the last thirty minutes of game time?

Hope Self scouted Tennessee more than he did Marquette otherwise he’s leaving Oahu 1-2.

HD is a good player, but just as with Michigan, he's not the kind of player who can single-handed win games for this team. If KU had a few more reliable shooters around him, it would change things. But my initial impression of this team is that they'll be top 5 all season and then lose the first weekend of the NCAA tourney.

I don't believe they are top 5 because they have no quality bench players.

They look like a hell of a good team to me. Competing very effectively against another very effective team. Just extended to largest lead of the game with HD on the bench…

Clearly not up for a game against the Kenpom 344 team in the country. You guys playing anyone of merit again this year? Duke was a good win, but MSU is always overrated. Maybe Purdue?

On a neutral court, UConn wins that game.

Also, I've finally figured out what HD's legacy will be. He can get you to the end of the game; he just can't close the deal. It falls to others to do that. KU is vulnerable in March because their best player isn't a closer.

It's not even worth it. Had KU lost yesterday, you'd be in hiding, not responding to anything we're saying.

Anyway, I thought UConn was the more impressive team yesterday, even in defeat.

So it looks like you guys are about comparable to UNCW and would get beat by Wisconsin by 20. Except that UNCW beat Kentucky at Rupp and you had the benefit of having them at a neutral court. Marquette got pasted by Wisconsin and Purdue lost to Northwestern, Tennessee got a hundo hung on them by UNC. Maybe Maui was a fraud this year!

This is goddamn hilarious. You do stand up?
After Duke's faceplant today I am not sure you can consider that a good win.

Lol. This ain't going to happen. Marquette is returning nearly everyone and we have almost a brand new roster except for three players. Ask Tennessee, Kentucky and UConn how our balls taste. It'll be fun beating you all at least twice a year on a go forward basis.
Let me see. Tenn. has 2 loses, Marq a couple including to the team we play next week, Kentucky's just lost to that powerhouse UNC Willingham by more than you beat them by, UCONN not sure of their record but I'm sure they are pretty good. Kansas......jury is out. I guess you have 1 good win at home.
Three top 10 Kenpom wins before 12/2.

Clearly not up for a game against the Kenpom 344 team in the country. You guys playing anyone of merit again this year? Duke was a good win, but MSU is always overrated. Maybe Purdue?

Ah, the transitive property of college basketball match-ups.

Just in case no one told you KenPom is inaccurate this early in the season. Those are his words not mine.

Kentucky, Tennessee and UConn will all probably finish in the top 10. Michigan State, Duke and Wisconsin will finish outside the top 20.
