Spend chunks of your time flying to the Midwest to not be a starter?
I sorta doubt that’s how he sees his life but I don’t have any inside info.

Crazy to see that over 700 athletes have entered the portal already including many that have spent time in the Pac12

Oates at Bama had to replace 10 guys this year and got to the FF

I could see Bronny at Oregon.
Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
As PC apparently said and I missed it, I could see something like Pepperdine.

Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
Quite frankly, I still can't forgive CTL for whiffing on last year's big Euro catch. Wembanyama would have given Oumar some real competition for starting center!!!

Yup, Wemby will never have a pro career.

Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
Cats need a 4, not another wing! Peavy shot 31% 3PT last season, career 27%, and 61% FT, career 59%. Not a shooter.

Aaron Bradshaw, 7'1 center. Transferring out of Kentucky.
Could be a nice get if Ballo leaves.

Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
I would go after Batcho. Dude is legit and would thrive under Tommy. Heard CTL's staff tried to get him to stay after CSM was fired. He's also a versatile defender. Can guard wings as well. I think he has a graduate year like Ballo.
Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
After watching UCONN and South Carolina women's team, I just want guys that rebound and defend. Shooters are overrated. Give me dogs that are relentless all game long
Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
Does anyone know if we are pursing Raynaud at all?
Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
UCONN literally has the #1 offensive efficiency. Purdue #3. Bama was 4th and their defense wasn’t even in the top 100.

Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
Bama shot 47.8% from 3 and lost
UCONN out rebounded Bama by 8 and got 4 more Oreb, got to the line 7 more times because they attack the basket. 11 more assists too
Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
UConn was 10/25 from three; 'Bama was 11/23... that's a wash...84Cat wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 12:30 pmBama shot 47.8% from 3 and lost

UConn had 20 assists; 'Bama had 9 - UConn was scoring out of it's offensive passing game; 'Bama's broke down (like Arizona in losses)
UConn's PG runs an offense; 'Bama's is a scorer & gunner.

Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
Certainly evident that you can be more patient in the WCC and the PAC with these guys. That had to be some tough conversations with guys you know he really liked.
I sure wish them good luck and much success

Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
Peavy is the kinda player they need if he can shoot better. Great defensive wing that lets Carter play PF.
Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
Hate to see Anderson go. He had attitude with a mean streak. He is going to make someone a better team. Sad about this one.

Good luck young man. Please don’t choose UNLV. For your own sake.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?
Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
Best wishes for your future young man - don't neglect your studies.
Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
I definitely wish him the best in future endeavors!
I'm now really looking forward to Bradley @ PG, and _______ @ SG?
Who y'all predicting? 1) Starter in first month? 2) Starter in January?

Nothing but best wishes for Boswell. Go to X, work on your PG skills under Miller!
Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
I, for one, hope this is purely individual players choosing based upon their own perceptions, values and goals, and not moves initiated by the coaching staff.Beachcat97 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2024 10:53 am I can’t remember a year with this much roster turnover.
The former can be corrected by evolving a culture, and screening for more commited players.
The latter is a formula for chaos.
And, IMNSHO, uninformed as it is, we really don't know the answer to this! (Yet!)

Re: Transfer Palooza Thread
I think the 2000-1 turnover was much worse. Loren Woods graduated, and Jefferson, Arenas, Wright and Gardner all declared for the draft. Jason Gardner was humiliated in the NBA camp, and fortunately came back to Arizona, but unfortunately for him he completely fell off the NBA radar. Wright only measured 6'6" without shoes at the camp, and had no outside game so did not have a NBA career.Beachcat97 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2024 10:53 am I can’t remember a year with this much roster turnover.
What made it worse was that Lute was hampered by NCAA rules at the time limiting the number of players a team could sign. Forgot what it was, something like no more than 3 players a season could be signed, and no more than 8 over 3 seasons. This rule was to prevent coaches from running off players.
And obviously, no portal back then. Now it's much easier to reload.
