Holy crap, feels so good to say we are tied for first with a 2 game lead over 3rd and a 4 game lead over Kansas and Baylor! That is amazing. Really impressed with how this team has grown!

And this year we are more of the hunter as opposed to the hunted.

Because of how poorly this team can play as shown in the earlier part of the season, they can’t afford to mail games in. Hope that continues to be a motivating factor for the remainder of the season and in the Tourney.

OSU is clearly one of the few exceptions to a good crowd. Of course they're 3-8 in the Big 12 playing another team with the same record. Not much of an incentive to come out on Super Bowl Sunday.

Feel like Stillwater was the only PAC12 level crowd we’ve experienced this season but I don’t expect that to last. They’ve got a pretty good tradition and fanbase. Just having a down year.

Yeah... Iowa St and Texas Tech surely have the easier remaining schedules.

This race looks to tighten up between all 4 of these teams

All 4 could go between 7-1 and 4-4 with I think the exception of TTU, I only see 2 losses there.

i know ku is going through a rough stretch during enfuego's "busy season" at work, but i could see them winning 7 of their remaining 8. regardless of how things go at houston, they'll probably be fired up and with an extra day's rest for the finale & senior day against us at AFH. it's not hard to imagine them heading into the postseason with a lot of momentum.

okie state is having a down year but it's wild how many eyeballs (and money) have been diverted from mbb to wrestling. as of this season, they have a superstar new coaching staff + undefeated team + multiple individual title contenders + insanely deep pockets pouring money into the sport. they're setting attendance records and ticket sales are up 30% over their last highest season. would love to see okstate's wrestling and wbb siphon NIL money away from mbb. dubious for sure, but still.

Arizona has spent 39 weeks at No. 1 in the AP Poll, which is ninth-most all-time; 30 weeks at No. 2, ninth most all-time; 174 weeks in the Top 5, seventh all-time; 347 weeks in the Top 10, sixth all-time; and 613 weeks in the top 25, seventh all-time.[11

Under coach Lute Olson, the University of Arizona Wildcats were in the Associated Press Top 25 poll for 97 consecutive weeks. This was the second-longest streak in the country at the time.

That is impressive by Houston though given it was done while mostly in the Big XII

The coolest thing about this conference is being able to respect coaches, opponents, and programs instead of hating them out of principle and unremarkable good taste. It makes losing to them an edifying experience instead of a shameful one.

Can our frontcourt defend all 3 of Houston's 6'8" forwards for an entire game without fouling out?

Houston defeated Baylor with little issue to no one's surprise. Once again we need a win tomorrow to keep up with them.

A win tonight keeps us up with them, but win or lose, Saturday game is for 1st in the conference. Even with a loss tonight, a W Saturday gives us a tie for first in Big12 record and the tie breaker in the head to head. But let's win tonight anyways!!!!

In truth, the UA game was a game both teams should have lost. What a terrible exhibition of basketball. Both teams last night would have been bounced in the first round of the tourney.

two of those last three are at AFH, though and they're 3-7 on the road. next one at byu could be rough - they'll probably step onto the hardwood with guns blazing. dropping two in the state of utah would send fuegs into permanent busy season. ku also had a bit of a rough time putting away 'rado at home but i'd be shocked if they lost in boulder. that would be a very tough loss to swallow.
