Rule #1: PAC-12 teams fizzle against lesser teams in order to make it worse for us when they bring their All-World game against Arizona.
Rule #2: I forgot because it's unimportant.

Brooks is back tomorrow. Now we'll see what kind of team they have.

Yeah. They dropped a couple OOC games last year too, before going on a tear through the Pac, so I wouldn't count them out yet.Chicat wrote:With Dillon Brooks.Beachcat97 wrote:Getting run out of the gym by a 1-2 G-town team.

Re: Oregon
Way to crap the bed Duckies.......guess all that Nike money only goes so far.....but of course, they will be in top form and play the game of their lives when we visit for our only conference game at OU this year.......
This unbalanced schedule really sucks!!! Play less OOC and let's play all of our Conference home & away every year!

nationally, folks will always judge the pac based on how well Arizona and ucla perform but i think cal will also make some noise this season, including the postseason. who cares about oregon/
Re: Oregon
G-Town was favored at the opening which I found odd given the ducks lofty rating.

If you've been paying attention, it's plain to see who the best Pac team has been so far.dirtbags wrote:woah! don't let @mrbug hear you say that, manBeachcat97 wrote:With Trier, maybe. Without him, I'd go with UCLA.Jefe wrote:Well I guess we're favored to win the P12 now

Lonzo may be Pac POY. But LM will give him a run for it.
If AT is eligible, we can make a run at a league title.

no argument there, i was just surprised to see you giving the bruins some credit ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Well, they've got a transcendent player on the roster this year. They don't come along often. I'm not giving the Bruins credit. I'm paying respect to Mr. Ball. Once he's gone, they'll quickly become irrelevant again.dirtbags wrote:no argument there, i was just surprised to see you giving the bruins some credit
Re: Oregon
Terrible loss by Oregon. Even if they dominate the conference schedule, it is going to be difficult for them to make a case for a #1 seed with non-conference losses like the game tonight.

OR's not getting a #1 seed. They'd have to more or less run the table the rest of the way.az91 wrote:Terrible loss by Oregon. Even if they dominate the conference schedule, it is going to be difficult for them to make a case for a #1 seed with non-conference losses like the game tonight.

Re: Oregon
Oregon is not as bad as it has appeared. This was Brooks first game back, and obviously there will be some adjustment to the team (and when Trier gets back you can expect something similar IMO).
I don't think that Oregon has a bench this year, but they definitely have talent. I'd expect them to be pretty scary come PAC season, and scarier when the tourney rolls around.

Re: Oregon
Oregon still looks really bad. That Tennessee team is awful, their offense looks like it might be one of the worst in the country. Oregon should have smacked them around.

Beat Tennessee by 4 in OT. Brooks 25 mins off the bench, 17pts

Yeah quick reminder that Tennessee was projected to finish in the basement of the SEC, which is not a basketball conference.
Re: Oregon
128-58 over Savannah St Saturday. 70pts in the 2H and 36 assists in the game. Dorsey 29 Brooks 22

Altman already dodged one sex assault issue. You would think he would have gotten more conservative over time.UAEebs86 wrote:

Re: Oregon
Sheesh. Altman doesn't need to be the guy who brings these guys in/deals w this stuff. Eventually will catch up w him and that will be the end of him coaching at any quality program.

It shocks me he would risk all the good stuff going on for a pretty meh player like Bigby-Williams. What is he thinking?rgdeuce wrote:Sheesh. Their fans are so ridiculous. The fact that anyone would mention that the last gang rape case and say since there weren't any charges/convictions, nothing happened--that's insane. That situation was so well documented, and we know that >90% of campus rapes go unreported/no charges.
Re: Oregon
Considering the number of Penn State fans who still lionize Paterno and Sandusky--not to mention the Cult of Trump in this country--how can anybody be surprised?prh wrote:Their fans are so ridiculous. Justice in American sports is now a celebrity case. We all should know by now that when big money or a big fan following gets involved, the accused almost never loses.
