If things go our way and certain players "grow" in their roles we have as much a chance as anyone to get to a FF this year.
There are good teams out there but they all have flaws (like us).

Beard fired at Texas.

Re: Non-PAC-12 team news
Beard was fired for cause, sources tell CBS Sports. As such, he will not be entitled to any salary or buyout money from the seven-year, $35 million contract he signed with the Longhorns ahead of the 2021-22 season. The deal was set to run through 2028.

Ain’t that some amazing shit.

In the Deep South choking your bitch is acceptable and to be expected if she doesn't make you a sandwich upon demand.
If they drop the case, which they probably will since she has recanted, then he will have a good chance to get bank from the school.

She insisted he get the transmission out of the tub, and it was just a bridge too far.

Re: Non-PAC-12 team news
Which transmission out of which tub?
If he only had one tub with a transmission in it and she wanted him to move it, I would have been upset too. They probably have like 12 tubs to choose from, she could have used one of the other tubs.

Arizona State might have the most surprisingly anemic history in men's basketball of any program that you might think is better than it is.

So far just rumors, but Alabama's fan were chanting "Call Texas" at Calipari during Kentucky's game @ Alabama today. Wouldn't it be great if, in turn, Kentucky hired Beard?

Damn. "Odunewu claims that they then pulled his pants and underwear down to his ankles while digitally sodomizing and groping his genitals."
Hopefully criminal complaints will be filed.

I thought I was the only one who didn't know about Aiken. Everyone here was like Kim Aiken wink wink. The Elliot Pitts/Harvey Mason's daughter incident was well known. And fuck the UA for letting him sit on the bench. I have a daughter too and would be really upset about it. If he was in California he would have been criminally charged.

Odunewu told ESPN that the players named in the lawsuit -- Kim Aiken Jr., Doctor Bradley and Deshawndre Washington -- targeted "just about everyone" at least once. The more frequent or severe punishments were reserved for those who fought back, Odunewu said.
Heiar and a spokesperson for New Mexico State didn't respond to messages seeking comment. Aiken, Bradley and Washington couldn't be reached for comment and haven't spoken publicly about the lawsuit.

Huggins should be fired.

Huggins released this comment:

I know I’d get fired for saying something like that on an internal call, let alone while representing my company speaking with the press.

Same here, and even doubt the union would represent me.
Like some of the other comments, I really thought it was one of those AI voice programs because no one in his right mind would say that. Had to be drunk.

Re: Non-PAC-12 team news
Whatever happens to him is fine with me. The guy's been a jerk for as long as I've known anything about him, which would be the Miles Simon bank shot to beat Cincinnati in Phoenix over 25 years ago. Note that he also insulted 1.3 billion Catholics world-wide while he was at it. As old-school/good-old-boy as he is, it still astounds me that people think they can say things like that and it won't be noticed. It's like the time Greg Hansen went on the Salt Lake radio show before an Arizona/Utah football game and essentially trashed Tucson in trying to kiss up to the hosts. I don't see how any sports or media organization can fail to have hard-core training about the borders when texting, tweeting, Facebook posting, TV and radio interviews and probably a few more topics. How many times do you have to see something go viral and the results from it before it sinks in? Maybe nothing ever does when you're an arrogant ass and you think you're all-powerful.

I just googled this because I remember thinking he was a gross person as a kid. Bob had 27 of 96 players he coached in Cincy graduate.
I've never liked Huggins. Even when I was a kid and I loved the Bearcats jerseys, he just reminded me of every redass, hard riding jerk coach I didn't like. Him being an exploitative old dirtball was a cherry on top.
At the risk of making it a personal attack, Bob has always looked like his body is experiencing a tremendous amount of physical pain- be it hangover, stomach, etc- at any given moment. Reminds me of some of the old Soviet Red Army hockey and soccer players who've become coaches. A bunch of dudes who are 55 going on 90.
In any event, hes proven himself to be a bad guy in at least 3 ways now. Happy trails
Re: Non-PAC-12 team news
Those are a significant set of consequences.
I'll say this on his behalf, his apology was genuine, direct and had none of the typical "apology/non-apology" crap that is all-to-common nowadays...

Huggy back in the shit
Re: Non-PAC-12 team news
He is probably gone now. Too much embarrassment for even coal miners and he has lost his edge as a coach.
Re: Non-PAC-12 team news
Probably? If it was Bud Light he was drinking that’s a no-go across WV.

Kind of surprised he hasn't been fired yet. Thought he would be out by morning.
Guess he couldn't afford Uber when they cut his pay from $4.2M to $3.4M.

It's quite a feat for a guy his size to hit .210. He either drank a shit ton or his liver is already trashed and it doesn't take all that much anymore.

Another odd detail is that his arrest occurred at 830pm two or three blocks away from the football stadium where a Taylor Swift concert was going on.

So do I overstate the obvious that after he's canned (sorry), WVU can hire Bobby Hurley and then ASU can hire "reformed" Huggins? The fit is so ideal, it's hard to ignore, just based on ordinary things like logic and stuff.
