the win preserves usc's rpi and marginally helps us since we lost to them earlier, but a 'rado victory last night would have been a nice assist. cu will likely close out at 1-3 (although who knows which ucla team will show up saturday) and are less likely to challenge for the title whereas sc's remaining games are tossups, including their final game at home vs. oregon which we may need them to pull off in order to edge out the ducks in the conf standings.

Too bad UCLA couldn't defend the home court against Utah. Meanwhile, UW and Cal in a tight one in Seattle.

That Cal vs UW game was just hard to watch. Two of the most poorly coached teams you'll ever see.

Going to be interesting next week as we have always shut down Loveridge. Now there is no RHJ or SJ to be that guy. Can Tolly get out on him and be that guy once again?

Utah just swept the L.A. schools on the road. Pretty sure we're going 1-1 this week.

Utah was swept by Oregon so I doubt they win the 1 seed in the conference tournament but now their last 3 games are at home. They sweep those they are probably co-conference champs.

Yep. I definitely did not expect Utah to sweep the L.A. trip, and it's making me less confident that Oregon will drop one in L.A. It sucks that we need help from other teams, even if we win out. OR is the only team who controls its fate.

Can't tell if serious.

Either way, confidence in this AZ teams seems pretty shaky at the moment.

My confidence in PJC and Tolly is pretty low......they really don't appear to be 'Arizona Good' at this point. York is streaky but if he holds to the 'catch and shoot' role and has a good game, then I think we can win....assuming we have decent PG play.

I think our front court play their hearts out and have a great game....As a Ute, I would be worried that they get over-confident seeing our sucky loss to a very mediocre CU team.

i am very interested to see how this team reacts to the CU loss.....it could very well be that 'PGU' just doesn't have good enough talent in the backcourt to win it though.....I suspect we will live and die by how York plays.

Did Scott's office ever do a damned thing about Bobby Hurley's temper tantrum?

After all, wasn't he going after the refs then?

Larry Scott is such a corrupt, spineless excuse for a commissioner. Total bureaucrat that is driving all the upper-level athletic talent and coaching out of this conference.

Oregon clinches the pac 12 title (at least a share). Will be outright champs if Colorado beats Utah and Cal loses to us or Asu. First pac 12 title in 14 years for Oregon.

"Tie-Breakers: Tie breaking procedures for determining all tournament seeding will be:
1. Two-team tie
a. Results of head-to-head competition during the regular season.
b. Each team’s record vs. the team occupying the highest position in the !nal regular standings, and then continuing down through the standings until one
team gains an advantage.
When arriving at another group of tied teams while comparing records, use each team’s record against the collective tied teams as a group (prior to that
group’s own tie-breaking procedure), rather than the performance against individual tied teams.
c. Won-lost percentage against all Division I opponents.
d. Coin toss conducted by the Commissioner or designee."

We're 0-1 against Oregon, Cal is 1-1 vs. Oregon. There's the tiebreaker

Yeah basically we're either the 3 or 4 seed. Chance at the 5th seed if we lose to Stanford and Colorado wins at Utah. But most likely 3 or 4. All depends on us vs Stanford and asu vs Cal.

thanks for the clarification, @asuhater.... as for your earlier Q, as things stand right now i think a 4-seed works if we want to see maximum revengeball and be on the receiving end of some very favorable matchups if there are upsets:

#9 uw vs. #8 'furd ---------- winner plays #1 uo
#12 wsu vs. #5 'rado ------- winner plays #4 UofA

#10 ucla vs. #7 osu -------- winner plays #2 'tah
#11 asu vs. #6 usc --------- winner plays #3 cal

1. neutral court / McK north
2. avenge losses
3. going into the ncaa tourney, there's more upside to wining those revenge matches / less downside to losing 'em

I'm going to go ahead and turn this into a jinx post as I don't want UCLA to fire one of the better rape apologists in the league.

I can't believe the Beavers are beating UCLA by double digits at Pauley in the second half! Everyone turn it on and watch the Beavers finish them off!!

Oregon State 86, UCLA 82 @ Pauley

There's one stat in this game I just love, love, love. Bryce had no fouls called on him for the entire game (35 min played). That's just

Take a look at the box score. Take a look at all the fouls the refs were calling on the other players.
