Postmaster wrote:I don't see book having reason to be the leak. He has to worry about fbi and they have the tapes.
He would only be hurting miller via ncaa and that doesn't do anything for him.

Also, I'm not sure book would have access or knowledge of tapes of Dawkins and miller because they don't pertain to Book

Those emails really only show that ASM claimed they could get Bowen to go to whichever school as long as that school delivered clients (players) to them.
Also sounds like Pasternack told Dawkins that he could secure lauri going to ASM just so ASM /Dawkins would send Bowen to AZ.
"Stories sourced to people “familiar with the investigation” or “familiar with the matter” should be presumed to come from attorneys in private practice—or the clients themselves—unless there is some specific reason to believe they came from the prosecutors or the investigative side."

I listed several reasons why I think Book may have leaked this...there is no way in hell he coaches again...he will never work for the UA again, his relationship with Miller is probably over as well, it is clear by what information we do have that Book was trying to pony up and deliver recruits and players this is the person Book see's himself as...there has been a lot of talk about how Book helped recruiting...and the leaked information completely misses the timeline of Aytons commitment...someone made that shit up.

It was either Dawkins, his lawyer or Book and his lawyer, no one else has even slight motive to create such a story.

My money is on Book, as much as guys loved him he obviously has a broken part to his character, fuck he hung out and leaked shit to ACE that alone brings his entire ethics into question in my estimation...we KNOW he was leaking stuff about recruits to ACE and got reprimanded for it...leaks are in his blood.

I know a lot of guys like him but he fucked out program for his own pocket, that is undeniable and inexcusable...

Not sure how a mole could continue as HC, especially if the NCAA makes marginal changes, i.e., does not overhaul the recruiting process or address the elephant in the room. It's very possible Miller worked with the FBI (and therefore wasn't named in the complaint and wasn't charged) but he must have been dirty at the outset to get swept up in this. There have been no retractions from ESPN; Schlabach just misspoke.

~ He is not in jail it helps his case to muddy the jury pool
~ He is pleading "Not guilty" no way to do that unless he's "just following orders" ie: Miller was in charge
~ He's that dumb and has nothing to lose for lying, he won't be in anymore trouble than he already is.
~ This was the perfect moment to join into the fray right after the Yahoo dump and big Pac 12 ESPN game

Regardless FUCK Book.
It's not Book.

The FBI has 3000 hours if phone calls. That is equal go what the average American works in a year and a half. I know agents are always on the phone but that seems like it would be longer than Feb 2017 to Sep 2017

Sorry I was not clear here. If it is just Dawkins or Dawkins and Andy Miller I feel like it has to go back beyond Feb 2017. If there are 3 or so more people tapped then Feb 2017 to Sep 2017 getting 3000 hours in that frame makes sense. If it is 5 or so people then I feel more comfortable

If the FBI had anything at all on Miller....

Why was Book dragged away by the FBI when they had the big fish in Miller?

This is all bullshit

I agree this is all crap and doesn't add up any way you slice it.

I was/am just hoping we can catch ESPN in a total lie

Was the talk back technically the 24th in the ETZ?

The problem right now is this story is being taken apart by a bunch of Arizona fanboys.

Why?

I know it's easy to say that as a fan... but if Yahoo, CBS etc could do something to make ESPN look stupid... they would go for it

Maybe Yahoo, CBS, etc... feel that it would be wise to not publish a story with such huge implications without a solid source and/or evidence. If they went after ESPN without such they would be doing the exact same thing.

Since it is clear Dawkins or his lawyer is the source, why isn't every news organization barring his door for clarification? Schlabach, too. It seems this guy was given a tiny window of information and no context. And he went with it but now has no idea what it all means. His silence is deafening.

From the SI article...finally some logic

"The ESPN report states that Dawkins asked Miller if he should deal with Richardson (who had been on his staff for 10 years, dating back to their time at Xavier) to finalize a financial agreement for Ayton, and that Miller asked to be dealt with directly. That Miller would want to handle the payment by himself in the highest-profile recruitment of his career is somewhat bewildering. Presumably, a conversation took place, but this is simply a piece of it. Though it may not matter in the court of opinion, there are elements that don’t make total sense...."

This should Arizona + Fox + CBS + Yahoo vs ESPN.
