If this Ginzaga team wins I'm going to have a hard time following this sport anymore until the one and done rule and grad transfer rules are killed.
But if the team with the academic scandal wins, you're good?

Lots of fun but basketball in domes is dumb. Can't even buy a beer and watch it on the big screen. Should be a great game Monday night
So freaking dumb. I feel like there's nothing the NCAA wouldn't do to bring in an extra dollar.

Let the players tackle each other!

I don't care for the elevated court and the entire team sitting "downstairs" from the action while the head coach is perched on a chair. There's no interaction between assistants and players. It doesn't feel right.

ASU Sun Devil Basketball: a grand total of TWO NCAA Tournament victories in the last 21 years. TWO WINS, the last one coming in 2009. Only Oregon State has a weaker NCAA Tournament resume from the Pac 10/12 Conference in the last 20 years. Why in the hell would anyone wear an ASU Sun Devil shirt within a nuclear blast of the NCAA Tournament? Their presence there just cheapens the event. In fact, security should be screening for terrorists and anyone stupid enough to be wearing ASU gear near a Final Four event.

I'm tired of the Gonzaga love affair. They benefit unfairly every year from a weak conference schedule and have been inordinately seeded too high over the years. Even this year, how could you not give them a 1-seed? Every other top 20 team in the country plays a more rigorous schedule. They're a unique program because of circumstance. But every other team in the WCC not named St. Mary's would finish dead last in the mediocre Pac 12.

Wrote this regarding Gonzaga. Like them or not, it's pretty amazing how they've sustained this doing it their way -- and keeping the coach. Though, granted, they took in three transfers and that's the team that broke through.

The hype here is insane, as you may imagine.

I root for the Zags unless we're playing them.

What's not to like about their program? Few is a class act. The only thing I resent about their program ( and really it's not their fault) is the crappy conference in which they play. They basically get a two month sabbatical while other programs are beating each others brains in during conference play. You could argue that the soft conference schedule doesn't prepare Gonzaga for the rigors of March. And I think that has been born out by them not doing much in the tournament relative to seeding for the last 17 years.
This year's Gonzaga team is a whole other animal because of three transfers. They're legit and you could argue that those transfers are already battle tested from competing in tougher conferences (Pac 12/SEC). The season has been a perfect storm for their program: Karnowski is healthy and gets a 5th year, 3 transfers all eligible, and even a fortuitous bracket in the tournament thanks to Arizona losing to Xavier & South Carolina making its own Cinderella run.

Yeah, I don't get the Zaga hate. Their conference affiliation is because they lack football and can't be in the Big East, and that isn't their fault.

Maybe some of the cuteness is gone because they really aren't the little engine that could any more, but hey, credit to Few for building them up like that. They don't abuse the rules, seem to do things legit and have built something really good. I give them respect and will root for them tonight.

Same here. Always root west coast, and especially against ACC.

Zags came to play. It feels bad they haven't separated, though. They seem to be in a better place then they actually are.

Also, sad that a really good game has constant whistles and both teams in the bonus 5 minutes into a half.

That last foul on Pinson guarding Williams-Goss reminded me of the brutal Nick Johnson offensive foul vs. Wisconsin in '14.

UNC is gonna win this. Sooner or later, something has to go down, and they're up one missing everything.

The refs are sort of killing this, though. At least the announcers will talk about it.

Brutal officiating. Both teams are scraping because there's a whistle on every play.

These refs are gonna be skewered by the media when this is over. And they should be.

That pussy regular season schedule, getting us down Zo and PJC, and having that unbelievably favorable road to the NC game did not deserve to be rewarded w a title. Not after the shit luck we have been through
