Ooooops, I didn't even see the comment on the rape story...I was alluding to the loss at WVU....I would never jokingly comment on something serious like that horrific allegation.

Would rather bash Enfuego on the loss instead....

To clarify, I wasn't making a joke about the incident. Just looking forward to hearing enflamo's usual spin.

USA Today article on the rape story. Five members on the team listed as witnesses. Thats about it other than as mentioned before the girl was only 16.

Wow, this is some seriously nasty stuff here in a best-case scenario for the KU Team from what I've read so far.

Hope our players are smart enough to keep away from any potential under-age contact of any type. These days, are the dorm halls all CC-TV'd?

Fucking. What do you think?

But whether or not she knew what she was in for and she's 16: it is rape.

Apparently age of consent in Kansas is 16. So consensual sex is a possibility.

Not to be holier than thou, but there is an investigation going on, which implies no one has even been arrested yet, and you've already leapt to a guilty verdict?

Yeah, I read this thread and went to ESPN & Google for this huge bomb - and while it's a thing for sure (hopefully not as bad as it could be by the sounds of it) - it's also certainly not an "end of Self" / "end of Kansas" thing at this point either.

yeah, we shouldn't jump to conclusions about self and his team based on the scant details out there. it's not even clear that it was a ku player.

horrific situation nonetheless, and i hope the victim is all right and that the guilty party gets everything they've got coming to them.

She was drinking and smoking weed apparently, so can't speak for Kansas, but in CA you cannot give consent if drunk so even consensual, it is a crime, or in AZ, it is against ABOR rules and you will get kicked out like Pitts.

Bragg is a one-man on-again, off-again issue facing KU. In December it was a suspension for misdemeanor battery.

True. "Lost" doesn't really begin to describe a 16 point beat down. Maybe I should have said "Your team got waxed..."? For some reason "manhandled" makes me think of Self's assless chaps (*shudder*).

Manhandled may be the right term. Since WVU fouls constantly at home and doesn't get called for it.

I actually agree with you. If refs allow WVU to body up and hand check the entire length of the floor, then good luck to any opponent.

Also the word "Bangkok" has awful Bill Self gay cowboy connotations.
