Gonzaga Pitt game was just called because the court was ruled to be unplayable. Game won't count and it was basically a waste for the two teams to fly there.

No reason for UMD-GTown to not be an annual rivalry like Louisville-UK. Georgetown chickened out, kinda the way Kansas won't play Wichita State.

Somehow I never occuree to me that Maryland and Georgetown should be rivals since they literally right next to each other. Like 12 miles apart

It was an entertaining game last night in DC with George Washington U taking down a hyped Virginia squad. The game didn't play out like GWU got lucky and fed off any UVA mistakes. It was more a matter of GW taking it right at them, attacking the interior of the UVA defense and pacing them basket for basket, rebound for rebound.

Hopefully he uses discretion and picks a good one where he can really succeed and not a dead end job like ASU.

yeah, i hear that.

for this season, anyway, i seem to recall CSM saying in a summer presser or something that the softer nonconference scheduling was purposely done because of all the unknowns with this year's team, and to facilitate the learning process

Georgetown/Maryland looks like it will go down to the wire.

Good game. Georgetown's shooting ability is impressive. Took Maryland by surprise long enough to make a back and forth game. Maryland has too much experience and future NBA talent to get tripped up. Terps will rock the Big Ten this year.

We have some tests too. They just come later in OOC play.

Kentucky just has so much effing talent.

UK and Michigan State are national title contenders. Duke will be much better in March, and Kansas isn't at full strength.

With no football to compete with, how were there no games featured on TV last night? Got home from work around 830 last night and couldn't find anything. Watched the new South Park for first time since who knows when. Just so happens there was a cheapshot at ASU.

The whole "are you PC bro?" thing has been taking quite a few shots at ASU over the last few episodes.

San Diego State choked a big one to Little Rock last night. Since I was using them to prop Utah as a good team they'd beaten, and since Utah was blown out by Miami in Puerto Rico, guess they both stink.

Miami beat 22nd ranked Butler last night by double digits. It's early and teams are still figuring things out and Miami just looks to be a pretty solid team. I thought Utah's preseason ranking was a little high, but I think they are a fringe top 25 team still and will be a tough team when we play them.

Can't believe I'm the first to mention #1 UNC going down to Northern Iowa.

I don't think that will be a terrible loss by the end of the season.

Northern Iowa and that defense is really tough at home, and no doubt UNC missed Paige for sure as well.

either way you're right, will reflect as a much better win for UNI than bad loss for UNC.

I'm happy because I read tigerdroppings.com and all their fans were talking final four and NC because they landed Simmons and Blakeney. It just isn't that easy. In the top ten, all the teams have top recruits.

Johnny Jones is lucky LSU fans don't really care about basketball and are going nuts about firing Les Miles. They had unrealistic expectations and LSU isn't even hitting realistic expectations. And ASU sucks.

Dont let the final score fool you. UNC was down a lot of that game vs Kansas State, I think 7 or 8 points with four minutes left. A killer turnover pushed it in UNC's favor and K State collapsed. K State only shot 40 percent from the field too...

Drowsily watching this Maui tournament. UNLV too much offense for Indiana, staying ahead despite some fast pushes by the Hoosiers. Once again Tom Crean's teams don't look as good as expected. Plus, were him and Walton out getting a tan? Both looked so red. And Walton was Walton calling the game, getting bored and bitching about the Odor-Eater advertisements on the scorers tables.

Michigan handled by UCONN. Game over as soon as their leader Caris Levert notches his second foul and Beilein dumps him on the bench for the rest of the half. Why, why, why do coaches have a 2 fouls your benched policy? It kills the momentum the player would have and gives the opponent a huge game planning advantage if they know they can go after a certain player and have him benched until the second half. Announcers should've been emphatic as to how this gave UCONN the game.

Who guards Wiltjer for Arizona? Anderson or Tollefsen?

I think Gabe York can be the difference in this matchup. He always puts up nice numbers against so-so competition. Now is his chance to shine against a tough team in a tough environment.

I think Anderson is our best option. If they go with three guard starting lineup like they did today I feel a lot better about our matchup cuz Anderson can be on him quite a bit. If Wiltjer slides to the three Tollefsen pretty much has to be the guy and that will make us throw things

WSU ended the series. They were tired of getting the snot whipped out of them by KU. They haven't wanted the series renewed until recently, but provide no recruiting benefit for KU. Self mentioned that Marshall and WSU have never picked up the phone to ask for a series either.
